Thank you for all the reads guys.

The place was full. Finding a place to sit was quite hard but I could spot mum, Keila, Sapphire and Bethel. I waved at them because they were so excited to see me.

The gala finally started and here I was, already in my attire. If I won the competition, I would get a scholarship to college. Even though my parents could afford any school, I wanted to do this. I wanted to win.

My opponents looked so confident and ready that they made me feel intimidated. The whistle finally blew, indicating the beginning of the race. I slid on my goggles and gracefully dived into the pool with a loud splash. I couldn't see if I was first, second or even third but I just swam.

I was happy I managed to maintain my lane. It wasn't long before I reached the end of the pool. I used my legs to push myself from the wall and give me more speed. When going back, I used breast stoke-a stroke I had recently perfected.

I could hear the crowd going wild. Different participants' names were being shouted. I was certain I was in the lead and all the other nine participants were trailing behind me.

Before I could get out of the water and claim my victory, I hit my head hard against the wall. There was a severe pain in my head and entire body. Before I knew it, all the noise reduced and everything turned pitch black.
I could sense people around me, being placed on a stretcher and probably into an ambulance.

Where am I? What happened? Am I still alive?

The recurring thoughts filled my mind as I woke up. I winced at the sharp pain in my head as I attempted to raise it. I was in a rich chocolate painted room with a large window on one side. There was a painting I recognized was done by Vincent Van Goh and a small blue bin near the door.

The door opened slightly and mom walked in with tears in her eyes and sat beside me. "My baby" she said as she squeezed my hand and kissed it lightly. "We were all worried. We thought you wouldn't make it. If it makes you happy, you won the competition and got the scholarship." She noticed I instantly became happy and her teary eyes were replaced with a big smile.

-Flashback-
*Mrs. Morgan's POV*

I cried hard when I saw Kye. She was bleeding badly and her thick red blood stained the stretcher and her attire. She looked so innocent and calm with her eyes closed. I still remember caressing her as a child. Her skin became pale, like she was breathing her last. It had been five hours since I spoke to Doctor Harper. "Kylie Morgan has partial amnesia. It will take a tragic event to bring back her lost memories."

Doctor Harper's words kept echoing in my head. I was glad she remembered me. Looking at her right now made me smile. I had hope. Kye was going to be okay.

End of flashback.

So, how was that? Jordan's out of the picture and most importantly, Kye has amnesia. Which ship do you sail?
