This chapter is dedicated to my best friend because she was there for me while writing and helped a lot. You go girl!

It was already past noon when we woke up. Saturdays at school were boring because there was absolutely nothing to do. Well, we were allowed to go out of school but I had no place to go.

I took all my clothes to the school laundry and had a long, hot shower. I slathered my body with bubblegum scented body wash and washed my hair with L'oreal shampoo I received for my birthday. When I was done, I dried myself completely and wore really comfortable clothes; sweatpants and a tank.

I then decided to read Return by Karen Kingsbury - a book that I hadn't touched in a long time. However, I fell asleep while reading and later woke up at 9PM. I didn't even know I could nap that long. I was really hungry by that time because I hadn't eaten anything the whole day. I ended up eating my favorite snack - Pringles. I believe they are a God-given gift to mankind and the taste always exploded my tastebuds, leaving me wanting more.

I ended up watching 'Gossip Girl' because I decided I'd slept enough and was really bored.

***
I really loathed Mondays and Wednesdays. I was dawdling in the hallway while rubbing my eyes when I saw Jordan standing right in front of my locker.
"Hey. You're blocking me" I said once I was near him. "Hey. Are you busy today?" He asked out of the blue. "Uhm no. Why?" I questioned, playing with him because I knew he wanted to ask me something. "So, can you come for soccer practice? I mean, not to play but watch" he added when he noticed the confused expression on my face. "Is that okay?"

Jordan looked cute when he was nervous. I inwardly blushed at that, not wanting to increase his already ginormous ego. "Sure" I replied. He looked somewhat relieved when I agreed.

During Math, one student 'mistakenly' threw a paper ball at Mr. Blair which made him so upset that he gave us three exercises that could have been done in a week! Talk about upsetting. Anyway, the day was moving at a steady speed.

It was already last period and I know I wasn't the type to sleep in class but I couldn't help it. My eyelids were practically begging to be closed and my mind was singing me a lullaby. Before I knew it, I was sleeping in class and the bell rang, signaling that class was over.

Yay! Now to see my captain-of-a-boyfriend!

I was out of class before anyone and quickly made my way to the soccer field. I picked a seat not so high up the bleachers because of my apparent fear of heights. Hardly had I sat, than practice began.

Jordan was a really good soccer player. He wasn't selfish with the ball (shocker) and skillfully passed it to the other players. He ran really fast and looked good in his uniform. I guess that's why he was captain of the soccer team.

By the time practice was done, Jordan was really sweaty, just like the others. He slowly made his way towards me with a smile plastered across his gorgeous face. "I thought you'd change your mind."

Right. I was dying to come here.

"Do you want to wait here or watch me shower?" He asked between pants. I punched his arm playfully. "No thank you. I'm under-age" I replied.

"Okay, stay here. I'll be back before you know it." He said before heading to the boys locker room.

I barely sat there for five minutes before Jordan showed up. I wondered whether he showered or not but was convinced he actually did when I realized he smelt like lemongrass with a hint of deodorant.

"Why did you bring an umbrella?" I asked when I saw it in his hand. "Because it's raining princess" he replied while grabbing my hand and making me stand up. As if Mother Nature heard him, it started drizzling. The few drops falling to the ground brought along with them a beautiful scent I loved.

"Where are we going?" I asked after we had been walking for at least ten minutes now. He completely ignored my question and kept walking, not even bothering to look at me.

It was getting cold and I started rubbing my hands together to distribute the little heat left inside my body. "If you want to get sick so that you can get free pizza, it won't work" Jordan said as he took off his jersey and threw it in my hands.

Jeez. Way to being a gentleman!

It was warm and smelled like him of course. I felt safe in it.

The rain finally stopped. It looked like it was 7PM although it was barely dusk. We were now under a large oak tree. It was when I started admiring Jordan's jersey that I discovered a bright red lipstick stain.
So many thoughts ran through my mind. What if he had a girlfriend? Oh my goodness was he cheating!!??? Did he even like me back? I was hurt. Confused. Annoyed. Sad even. And even after reading all those books, I thought I could end up with the school's jerk. Utterly bewildered, I did the last thing I thought I'd do. I ran. I didn't know where I was going, but I just ran.

"Kylie wait!" I heard Jordan shout after me. His voice was getting nearer, meaning he was chasing after me. There was no way I would be going back. Not so soon at least.

Oh poor Kylie. A chapter without Stephan. Where's he when she needs him?
Yay! One Heart At A Time actually got 500 reads. I didn't even think I'd go far when I started to write it. See that little star on the bottom? It actually turns orange when you click it. C'mon try it out. And please leave comments, they are nice to read.
Oh and I know I didn't reach the last chapter's goal but I decided to post this one anyway. Gracias!
