"Nobody has seen her in a month, sir. Isn't this-"
The man cuts the rambling woman off with a flick of his wrist. He rubs his eyes for the umpteenth time with a long sigh.
"Miss, I've told you before, we've looked. Logan has no enemies, she wasn't in any trouble before she disappeared." The man pauses when the girl's eyes fill up with tears, "The case has gone cold."
"But she has a family who-"
"I've tried to speak with Logan's mother. She's hasn't returned any of my calls. I'm sorry, Harper, until something more comes up, I'll have to stop with searching as of right now."
Harper bites her lips, "But-"
"I have to ask you to leave. I'll contact you if we find anything."
The young girl leaves the police station, her green eyes downcast.
-
"I don't understand."
"Well, you're a bird. I didn't expect you to."
"Emil, she's being mean to me."
Logan rolls her eyes, stuffing more food into her mouth. The puffin, who is called Mr. Puffin, has bothered her ever since they've met each other.
Apparently, Mr. Puffin doesn't get to meet all the girls the guys bring home. It hurts his feelings.
"Logan, can you try not to hurt Mr. Puffin's feelings. It's annoying that he bothers me when I'm working." Emil pokes his head in, the puffin on top of his head.
Logan gives Emil a small look before looking back at the noodles she is eating. She nods slightly, stirring the noodles.
Usually, she would have a witty comeback, but she's not in mood. Hell, it's a miracle she actually stayed out of bed. Or ate something.
She's kind of glad that these five dudes don't know her that well. Maybe they think she's just a depressing young adult.
"Honey, I'm home!"
Logan glances up from her barely eaten meal to the two men who just entered the house. Mathais gives her a big grin, holding out a bag to her.
She takes it with a small smile, seeing the blue dye she asked for. She figured out that she's in present day, only that she's in Iceland instead of the United States.
Tino said, when Logan told him where she's actually from, that they have business in America in a couple of days and could take her along.
She said she would, seeing as it's possible that Harper and her family is freaking out without her there.
She has brighten up, so she asked if they could get her some blue dye so she can try to be the same. Sure, she'll be sad for a little, but she'll get over it.
"Thanks." She says, looking at box's instructions.
"That's not healthy for you, woman." Mr Puffin tells her, landing in fronting of her.
