Monday morning is calmer. Kuroko wakes to a much less noisy Sei making breakfast. Kuroko slips out of bed and pads out the door to greet the familiar before anything else.
"Good morning." Kuroko says, stepping into the kitchen. Sei glances at him briefly before focusing on the food.
"Morning." He replies. Kuroko watches him for a moment. He's calmed down significantly, though his body language and lack of reply says he's still hurt.
Kuroko steps closer, catching Sei's attention again. Kuroko reaches out to touch the familiars arm lightly. Sei looks down at it and Kuroko see's his face soften slightly.
"Sei, I- ..." Kuroko starts, but stops himself. Seijurou looks up at him now. He doesn't look like he wants Kuroko to finish his sentence. Kuroko hesitates more at this. He had wanted to apologize, but that might only hurt the familiar more, especially because Kuroko still thinks rebuilding his family is a good idea.
Seijurou sighs and turns back to the pan on the stove. "Step back Tetsuya, you'll get hot oil on you." He warns. Kuroko does as he's told, taking his hand back. Getting Sei to forgive him, without Kuroko changing his mind, might be a lot harder than he was hoping when he got out of bed a couple minutes ago.
"Go wash up and get ready. You don't want to be late for class." Sei tells him. Kuroko nods.
"Okay."
Once Kuroko is showered and dressed, he sits down on the couch to eat breakfast. Sei is sitting on his chair, his makeshift wall is down, but he's not looking at Kuroko. He looks tired as he stares out the window and Kuroko wonders how much sleep he's gotten since the meeting.
"I might stay in the library for a bit after class." Kuroko speaks up. He wants to give Sei more space and possibly some time to get more rest, but he does also have a couple library books that need to be taken back.
"Okay." Sei says to the window. Kuroko keeps eating, but somethings been tugging at his mind for a little while.
"Sei?" Kuroko starts, "How come you're okay with me leaving, but you won't?"
Sei turns his head to look at Kuroko with a raised eyebrow.
"I mean, before, when I was cursed too. You never followed me out when I went to class even though there might be a risk of me getting hurt." Kuroko hesitates. "At least, I don't think you did..."
Sei's expression relaxes. His lips quirk up in small smile. "I didn't." He assures.
"Why?"
"You're fine on your own. I've sewn multiple sigils and charms into every article of clothing you own so that even if I'm not there you'll be protected."
"What?!" Kuroko looks down at his clothes. "Where?"
"They're hidden, don't look for them or their power will decrease. That's how most of the spells I've placed around you work. As long as no one notices them or notices you, they won't be able to hurt you."
Kuroko looks up at Seijurou with raised eyebrows. "THAT'S why no one notices me?!"
Seijurou smirks at Kuroko, trying not to laugh at him. "What did you think it was?"
"I don't know..." Kuroko sits back against the couch. "I always though it was just me..."
Sei shakes his head lightly. "You used to stand out quite a bit when you were younger."
"Did I?" Kuroko tries to remember a time when he's ever stood out. The only thing that comes to mind is when he would get bullied by the kids in his hometown. "Ah..."
