"Hey mom! I'm home?" I said looking around when I saw the sticky note on the fridge clipped with a twenty dollar bill
Destiny, I won't be home when you get home. So I left money for you to buy some pizza. Invite Jordan or Nathan over for the night. I probably wont be home until tommorow afternoon, mom.
"Of course. Love you too mom." I huffed.
"Hey mom, do ya want to hear about school?"I asked to the empty kitchen.
Ding! Dong! Ding! Dong! Ding! Dong! Ding! Dong!
"It's open!"I scream grabbing my cell phone.
"Jesus Destiny, that's not safe. What if I was a killer and then you screamed 'its open! 'You would've been dead."Nathan said sitting down throwing his bookbag on the floor.
"Riiiighhhhtt. Totally, a killer would ring my doorbell and wait for me to come to the door instead of busting in like a normal criminal, besides I knew it was you."I waved Nathan off.
"So what you got planned for the night? Pizza with mom?"Nathan asked.
Ever since we'd become friends he started calling my mom well, 'mom'.
"Actually mom is at work tonight and wont be back till later tommorow. Again."I sat down staring at my hands
"Again? Destiny, what has been up with your mom lately? Nathan asked with a serious tone.
"Ever since last week, you know, when I do see her, she looks tired all the time. I mean, I know she works alot but have you ever seen her so tired and slow?"I pointed out.
"True."He said solemnly .
"Hey lets have a slumber party!" Nathan said in his most girly voice he could possibly make.
We both started to laugh and seemed like we didnt stop.
After an eternity I finally said "Okay fine, but we are not gettting peperoni. Yuck!" I shivered
There's five things I hate so much in this world
1.Pepperoni (Its slimy and reminds me of dog food)
2.Baggy Jeans (I literally have all skinny jeans. I'm sure a bunch of girls would agree.)
3.Reality shows (The Kardashians.. REALLY?)
4.Parents who think theyre so 'hip'
(Like when you walk into farm fresh all happy to buy some groceries until you see this 40 year old woman walking around with 'yolo' on her shirt and some jeggings and the unsucessful smokey eye and that image ruins your eyes for the rest of the day... just saying)
5.Pickels.(I can't even explain that one..)
Nathan is aware of my 'phobias' about those things yet he still teases me about them.
"Come on Des, I love them, and you love them." He smiled at him with his baby blue eyes.
"No! I'm calling the pizza place. Pick some movies will ya?"I shouted from upstairs dialing the number.

"Daddy? Why is mommy crying?"

"You hurt mommy!" I ran to my mother holding her with my tiny hands trying to keep her from shaking along with her sobs.
"No Destiny, well, sweethart I'm sorry-
"I HATE YOU!" I cried.
"Rick, it's time for you to leave. NOW!"
"Diana, I swear-
"NOW RICK!" She cried slamming the door on the stranger who used to be my father.

"Your. best. friend. jordan. is. calling." My phone said that woke me up. I picked up my phone and clicked answer.
"Hey, watcha up to? Sorry I couldnt come over my mom wanted to have a family night. I mean, family night? Who the hell has those anymore?"Jordan babbled on my cell phone.I looked over at Nathan who was snoring real loud.
" Hey Jordan?" I whispered in the phone.
"Yeah?"
"What the hell are you doing calling me at two thirty in the morning?!?"I asked.
" I got bored. Is Natathan over there?".
"Yeah and is currently sleeping right here so BYE!"
"WAIT! Did you guys-
"God no, Jordan. We've been best friends forever and will remain that way, now excuse me I have some beauty sleep to get."I had said wearly.
"Yeah yeah, bye."
"Bye."

"Hey you know, Jordan is here."Nathan said waking me up.
"What? It's still dark outside why are you waking me up at...Five thirty?!?"I screamed looking at the blue glowing numbers. I jumped out of bed rubbing my eyes knocking into things along the way and headed downstairs.
"God you look a mess, did you even look in the mirror?"Jordan said.
"Not when I wake up at five in the morning!"I gritted my teeth.
"I have a deal to make with you."
"And you couldnt tell me about this deal at oh, I dont know when normal people wake up?"
"Shutup and Listen."
"Me and Nathan have been talking. We think-
"Nathan.....Your'e part of this? God, I really need new friends!"
