A/N - carried on directly from last chapter. :)

"How long do you think the feat will go on for?" I asked, trying to make small talk with Sir Leon,

who was on the other side of the screen, waiting for me, while Sefa - my maid - fastened the back of my gown.

"I think it shall go deep into the night, my lady." I smiled at the way he added 'my lady'. We always kept it more formal when there were servants around.

"Are you going with anyone? I'm sure there would be many ladies happy to be in your acquaintance. Isn't that right, Sefa?" " I asked.

"Ummm..." She stumbled over her words. In hindsight it was properly unfair to force this question on her. "Yes, my lady."

"No, there aren't many ladies who I could take, my lady." He replied.

"Oh, that's a shame." I said, as I Sefa went to collect my necklace. "I have to attend with Sir Mordred. What do you think of him?" I enquired, as I fiddled with my hair, which I wore loosely curled down my back.

"He is a brave and noble knight. Camelot needs more like him."

I chuckled as I put on my necklace - still behind the screen.

"Is there Somthing funny my lady?" He asked curiously.

I tried to contain my laughter, "Not really. It's just everyone seems to be complimenting him and I have no idea what he is like." It didn't really sound that funny, but if I am to be stuck in this castle for the next month, then I need Somthing to amuse me.

I stepped out from behind the screen.

"How do I look?" I asked him, as I twirled around.

"Beautiful, as usual my lady." He complimented.

I couldn't help but blush. "Thank you Leon." I smiled at him, then turned to face Sefa. "And you, Sefa. You have done a fabulous job, thank you."

She bowed her head and blushed - at least I'm not the only girl who blushes when complemented.

"Thank you my lady." She thanked me and turned to leave.

"Are you attending the feast?" I asked, before she had a chance to leave.

"No my lady, I was not invited. I am a servant after all." She lowered her head again, but this time out of shame.

"Well then..." I started, as I walked over to my dressing table and grabbed a couple of coins out of a small velvet pouch. "You must take this."

I walked back to her, with my arm outstretched, the coins laying in my palm.

"I, can't my lady. That's..." she complained.

"I will not have it." I interrupted her. "You have worked hard, and this is how I will repay you. Now take it and go home."

I placed the coins in her hand, and regretfully she took it.

"Thank you. Thank you so much my lady." She bowed her head and turned to leave for the door.

"And Sefa." I called, stopping her in her tracks. "Please, call me Sophia. We have known each other for a long time. Just my lady, in front of formal occasions."

"Yes, if you wish my la... I mean Sophia." And with that she smiled and left, with a bounce in her step.

"You are kind, Sophia." Leon told me.

"She has done a good job, don't you agree?" I checked.

He nodded in agreement.

"Well then, I do not see why she can not be rewarded."
