A/N - Heya. Sorry for a very late update. Have received some awful news, about a very special person, but her courage is amazing and is so inspiring, so this is for her. Also, dedicated to my latest follower - go and check out her stories!!!! Enjoy! Xxx
Again, I was woken by a knock at my door - I hope this wasn't going to become a regular ocurance.
"Come in." I yawned sleepy.
The door opened and in walked Gwaine, well Sir Gwaine.
His face turned a shade of red when he realised he had woken me and I was still in bed, wearing my night gown.
"I'm ever so sorry my lady." He stuttered.
"Nonsense Gwaine. If you hadn't I fear I may have slept all day."
This seemed to relax him, although he still stood awkwardly in the corner of my room.
"No, if you'll excuse me for a couple of minutes, I must get changed."
He nodded, and clearly understood that I needed my own privacy. "Of course. I shall wait outside."
"Thank you." I told him, as I got out of my bed and walked over, until I was clearly behind the screen. Sefa then came over to help me change in to my dark red dress and ruby necklace and ring.
"Did you have a nice evening Sophia?" She asked, whilst fastening my dress.
"Yes, thank you." I said - smiling at the fact she had called me Sophia, rather than my lady or your Grace.
"I'm glad. I heard the dancing was exquisite."
"I wouldn't know." I sighed. "I left soon after the dancing began."
"Oh." She said worridly. "Is there anything I can get you? A remedy from Gaius or extra pillows to help you sleep at night?"
"No, thank you. I will ask Gwaine if we can pay Gaius a vist later today."
"Ok, my lady." She said, stepping back, checking my dress was in place.
"Thank you Sefa." I told her, as I quickly admired my reflection in the mirror.
"Your welcome." She blushed.
I walked over to the door and pulled it open, to find Gwaine leaning against the wall, playing with the head of his sword.
I couldn't help but laugh.
"Somthing funny?" He questioned.
"Yes." I began to tell. "I remember playing with the heads of my father's swords when I was little, so I find it amusing for a high knight of Camelot, to be doing the same thing."
His face turned a deep shade of red, as I shared my story.
"Twice I have made you blush already today Gwaine. You had better watch out or I will make it a third." I joked.
He laughed back
I enjoyed my time with Gwaine, which I why I hoped he would supervise me more often than the other knights. We had the same sense of humour and did not treat each other differently, as we had known each other the longest. Many think it was Merlin who first found out about Gwaine, but I had met him a couple of tomes before, so I was glad when my father got him knighted.
"What are we doing today?" I finally decided to ask.
"We are heading to the meeting, with your father and the other knights..."
"High knights." I interrupted and corrected him.
"... with the other high knights to finalise arrangements for king Godwyn's vist. After that, I think we can come to some arrangement on what to do."
