Trey was still on the hunt for Smooth and had to find him so he could finish the job, but there was no sign of him. Trey decided to drive to Black Sam's house and see if he was over there. Loading up his gun with bullets in the chamber and cocking it back, Trey looked in his rearview mirror and knew what he had to do. He wanted to kill Smooth and if Black Sam wouldn't give him up to him, he would have no choice but to kill him too. Trey drove straight there without making any stops and didn't want any interruptions or distractions so he turned his cell phone off and threw it in the back seat. Roman and Palmer responded to a 187 call and found the man that Trey killed outside his home and had to secure the crime scene. An elderly woman said that she seen everything that happened and was the one that called 911. Palmer took out his notepad and a pen and asked the lady for a description of this man she saw. The lady said he was black and very menacing and didn't hesitate to kill the neighbor and was chasing after another black guy and followed him when he got in his car, tailing him. Palmer wrote everything down and asked the lady if they happen to catch this guy would she be able to pick him up from a lineup. The old lady agreed and gave Palmer her information and contact number to where she could be reached. Palmer shook the lady's hand and she slowly walked back inside her house. The detectives may have gotten a lead but they had to figure out who did this and also close the case with Stony and her crew before FBI gets in the way and blow their investigation. Luckily for them, Trey left quite a blood trail when he got shot so all they had to do was follow it and they would find him. Roman and Palmer were about to leave when Lydia showed up and wasn't too happy to see them. She began to berate them as to why she wasn't notified about this situation and needed to be kept in the loop. Roman told her this isn't a federal investigation and it has absolutely nothing to do with her just like the FedCal bank job has nothing to do with her. Lydia started laughing and told Roman that anything that goes on around here is her business and would inform Lt. Holbrook about breaking chain of command and could have him and Palmer doing traffic duty by the time the investigation is over. Palmer started to cuss her out calling her a bitch as he didn't take her threat lightly but Roman put his arm out to keep him calm and told Lydia to walk away. Lydia knew they wouldn't cooperate with her on the case and that was fine by her. Roman was told by one of her ex partners that she's not exactly a team player and no one will work with her because she has a way of bending the rules to get the job done no matter what the cost. Lydia ignored Roman's rude comments and walked to the patrol officers to get some information about what happened while Roman and Palmer left to go back to the station to run a sketch of the description the elderly woman gave through facial recognition. Lydia watched them leave and gave them the meanest look she could possibly give to two asshole detectives. Trey arrived at Black Sam's and got out his car with guns blazing when Black Sam's bodyguards seen him and tried to draw their weapons but Trey shot them before they could get the chance. Smooth and Black Sam heard the commotion outside and seen Trey shooting. Black Sam told Smooth to leave out the backway so Trey couldn't get to him while telling the rest of his crew to go out there and take care of Trey. The men rushed out with guns and started shooting at Trey but Trey fired back and killed three more of Black Sam's men and shot the other two in the head point blank. Trey was yelling out for Smooth to come out but Black Sam came outside and told him he wasn't here. Trey knew he was lying to him and pointed the gun directly at Black Sam. Black Sam told Trey he wasn't here and told him to put the gun down. Trey refused and told him this is personal. Black Sam knows why he wanted to kill Smooth but he couldn't let his own nephew die in the hands of this ruthless bastard. Trey gave Black Sam one last chance to tell him to bring Smooth out or he would pull the trigger. He didn't budge or flinched and in seconds, Trey had no choice but to shoot him and blew his head off. Trey ran up inside the house to look for him but there was no sign of him, he was gone. Black Sam was telling the truth and it cost him his life protecting Smooth. Trey left and continued to look for him as he drove away. Once Trey was completely gone, Smooth came out of the bushes and seen the dead bodies that Trey was responsible for and completely lost his mind when he saw his uncle dead on the ground with his brain splattered everywhere. He was in shock and traumatized. He was also angry and blamed himself for what has happen and didn't want his uncle to die on account of him. Smooth stayed silent for a few minutes and then he got up and grabbed his dead uncle's gun and got in his car and drove. Trey wanted to kill Smooth. Now Smooth was about to do the same thing to him. He wanted revenge just as bad as Trey wanted to kill him and he was going after him. Kill or be killed? Smooth thought to himself and went to track down Trey so he would put a bullet in his head the way he did Black Sam but killing Trey wouldn't bring his uncle back.
