Roman was driving back to the station to put the money he stole from Smooth into evidence but he couldn't bring himself to do that as this was a large sum of money and he knew keeping the money would be wrong and immoral of him to do but he be a damn fool if he was gonna turn in all this money as evidence. Instead of going to the station, he decided to go to the hospital and check on his partner Palmer to see how he was doing. Once getting there, he ran inside the entrance and asked one of the nurses to see if Palmer was still there. The nurse told him that he checked himself out 2 hours ago against doctors orders. Roman became perplexed as to why he would he do that and asked the nurse did he bother to leave a note. The nurse nodded her head and told him no. Roman stormed out the hospital and rushed to his car and grabbed his phone out to call Palmer but he didn't answer. His voicemail picked up and Roman left a brief message and hung up before he could say anything else. He figured Palmer might be at home resting so he drove to his place. Little did he know, he was being watched and tailed from a distance by an unknown person driving a black SUV. Roman arrived at Palmer's house and slammed the car door and walked towards the front and knocked on his door hard. No answer. Roman was growing frustrated. He tried calling him again but it still went to voicemail. Roman looked under the welcome mat and got the spare key that was hidden and opened the door, allowing himself to come in. He walked inside and called out his name to see if he would answer. He went all through the house and didn't see any sign of him. The SUV parked on the curb and seen Roman's car parked in the driveway. Roman walked out of the house trying to figure out just what the hell was going on. It wasn't like his partner to ignore his phone calls and was hoping he was all right. As Roman was about to leave, he seen someone walked up to him and it turned out to be Palmer. Roman wanted to know where he been and why he didn't answer his phone and checking himself out the hospital but Palmer interrupted him and told him he knows what he did. He knows about the money. Roman pretended to look confused but Palmer wasn't buying his act. He followed him all the way to LAX and seen him switching the bags on purpose and taking the money. Roman grew suspicious of him and got upset on why his own partner would follow him but none of that shit mattered. Palmer wanted half of what he stole or he would report this to Holbrook. Roman knew he wouldn't report this to their superior and was planning on splitting the money 50/50. He unlocked the trunk and got the money. Palmer told him to toss it beside him. He looked in the bag and seen all that money and began laughing. He couldn't believe that Roman would pull something like this off and get away with it. He had one hell of a partner but unfortunate for Roman, their partnership would come to an end. Palmer reached for his gun but Roman seen what he was about to do. He was being double-crossed by his own partner, someone he trusted with his life was about to take his. Roman got his gun out and aimed it at Palmer but his gun was jammed. Palmer pointed his gun right at him and had his ass dead-to-rights. He put on gloves so he wouldn't get his fingerprints on the gun and wanted to hear what Roman had to say before killing him. Roman's last words was "Go fuck yourself you two-timing bastard." Palmer smirked at him and told him the only thing that would be getting fucked was his wife. Palmer told someone to get out the car and to Roman's surprise, it happened to be his wife Ramona. The same Ramona that works at Downtown Federal. Ramona stood there watching Roman and told him about the affair she's been having with Palmer and has been cheating on him for months. He never suspected a thing and surely didn't see this coming. His partner and best friend and his wife conspired against him. Roman felt hurt and betrayed but his feelings didn't matter to them. Ramona never loved him and told him that she was planning on divorcing him. She told Palmer to kill him and kissed him right in front of Roman, which made him angry. As the two lovers were embracing each other, it gave Roman a distraction to reach for his backup gun in his sock and shoot Palmer. He shot him three times in the chest and delivered a headshot. Ramona screamed and tears flew down her eyes and was covered by his blood as it splattered on her face. Ramona looked at Roman and grabbed Palmer's gun, about to shoot him but Roman said "Here's your divorce bitch." and then he shot her in the head, killing her before she dropped on the ground. Roman took the money and locked it back in the trunk and removed Palmer's gloves and put them on to rub his prints off and placed it in his hands, making it look like foul play. He stood there for a split second looking at the bodies of his former partner/best friend and his now deceased ex-wife. Roman left and got in his car and never looked back. If Holbrook asked about Palmer, he would tell him that his partner died in the line of duty saving is life while trying to apprehend Stony and her crew but they got away. That was the story he was going to tell and would stick to it, giving him plausible deniability and an airtight alibi. Roman knew there would be an investigation coming on the death of his partner and wife sooner or later but there was no evidence or witnesses which puts him in the clear. Nick not only got away with stealing the money, he got away with murder and that was something he have to live with for the rest of his life.
