Chapter 2
Kenneth's POV

My mom came into my room as i sat on my bed playing GTA5 on my xbox. "Hey honey, dinner will be ready in about a half hour, but Avery is here, i want you to go and say hi to him, make him feel welcome and safe" she smiled.

I looked at her and sighed heavily, rolling my eyes. "I never wanted a brother mom.." I growled.

"He's not your brother honey.. At least by blood.. Just think of him as a guest staying at our house until he's off to college. That's pretty much all you are right now." She laughed jokingly.

I sighed and looked at her. "C'mon, he's been through a lot. He just needs love and support Kenneth.."

I looked down feeling guilty and put my game on pause as i stood up. "Alright.." I sighed.

She gave me a hug and headed downstairs to finish cooking dinner.

I walked down the hallway and knocked on Avery's door, waiting for an answer, but i got nothing. I knocked one more time and opened the door slowly and quietly.

I walked into the room and saw a black haired boy sleeping in his bed. His hair was like mine.. But he had some tattoos on his arms and his legs..

I walked to the bed and sat on the edge of it. I looked at the boy's hair as it was falling in his face. And how shiny his piecings were. He was the most beautiful boy i'd ever seen.. He looked so peaceful. I just wanted to hold him in my arms and kiss his perfect lips.

"No kenneth. No. You can't like this boy. Yes you can. He isn't your actual brother. Like your mother said, he is just a guest in this house." I argued with myself in my head and looked at him.

I gently placed my hand on his cheek as i rubbed my thumb against his skin. His soft breaths were so warm and comforting, i felt like i was going to fall asleep.

Suddenly i saw his eyes flutter open beneathe his hair. I moved it out of his eyes as i saw a pair of bright crystal blue eyes staring up at me.

His cheeks deepened in color, and he gave me a soft smile as he tried to sit up.

"Well good morning there sleeping beauty" i laughed.

"It's morning already..? He asked tilting his head like a confused dog.

I chuckled and shook my head. "No, but dinner is almost done. I just thought i should come in here and you know.. Say hi. Welcome to the family" i smiled at him.

He nodded his head and stared into my eyes. "I'm Avery" he said softly.

I smiled back at him "I'm Kenneth" i said holding out my hand for him to shake.

He grabbed it, and i felt little sparks throughout my arm when he touched my skin.

I know he felt it too, cause his eyes widened and became soft as he blushed and hid behind his hair.

I pulled my hand away from him and took in a deep breath.

"Well, i'll tell you a few things about me to get started i guess.." I cleared my throat and stood up.

He crossed his legs beneathe him and rubbed his ankle.

"My name is Kenneth. Which you already knew.." I gave him a smirk and he smiled amusingly.

"I like Bands. And i know you do too. Your shirt tells me everything." I laughed and he chuckled a husky laugh. It sounded sexy.

"My favorite color is purple. I'm obsessed with the ocean. My favorite band is The Amity Affliction. I am openly gay.." I cringed at the sound of it because i didn't know how he would respond to that.

His eyes widened and sparkled when he heard me tell him i was gay. "Me too.." He whispered.

I covered my face and sat next to him on the bed and pulled him into my arms. He pulled away from me and looked into my eyes with fear.

I took his hand into mine gently and looked into his eyes. I felt something i had never actually felt with a boyefore..

"I can see how fragile you are.." I moved closer to him. "And i can see that you're a bit broken... But i want to help you.." I said leaning in closer to him. I felt his hot breath on my neck as he breathed heavily.

He looked into my eyes as i leaned forward and pressed my lips against his gently. He didn't pull away, but surprisingly, he kissed me back and wrapped his arms around my neck.

I pulled away and looked him in the eyes. "I wasn't expecting you to kiss me back.."

He leaned in and pressed his lips against mine again, and this time he licked my bottom lip, asking for entrance.

I opened my mouth as i grabbed the back of his knees and pulled him in my lap. I held his legs around my waist and rubbed his thighs as our tongues fought for dominance.

He pulled his face away from me and bit his bottom lip as he blushed and hid behind his hair.

"Kenneth and Avery! Dinner time!"

Avery jumped at the sound of my mother's loud voice. I intertwined my fingers with his and leaned my forehead against his.

"Maybe we can hang out after dinner time.." Avery's soft, husky voice whispered.

I nodded as he kissed my neck, sending chills down my spine. We both got up and headed downstairs to the dinner table.

"So i see you've met Kenneth already, Avery" stephanie said with a smile.

He nodded smiling back and looked at me for a few seconds, blushing. I know i had just met him, but who says love at first sight isn't real?
