Sawada Ietsuna stares at the dangling, rusty iron work that use to protect the students from falling over the edge. Every creak it gives crawls up his skin and he wanted nothing but to brush it away. Something isn't right. The railing shouldn't be dangling and someone's standing there a while ago. Where is he, did he fall?
A loud booming sound echoed from beneath them and the next thing he knew he was alone. They left him. He did not do anything wrong. It wasn't his fault.
Why are they blaming him? They're leaving. He don't want to be left. He could just watch as they run away from him. He didn't—it was an accident! He didn't mean it. It's not his fault.
"—ka Ie...na..."
Ie-kun didn't mean it. It wasn't his fault. Okaa-san said it wasn't Ie-kun's fault. Why are they blaming him? He did not do anything.
"—ka Ietsuna..."
"It wasn't Ie-kun's fault..." he mumbled before losing consciousness.

Reborn stares at the unconscious blond with a frown. He'd been calling him for a whole minute yet he only stare at him but did not respond. At a closer look, it was as if he wasn't seeing him at all. Then just like that, he fainted.
He clearly heard what he says and he doubt it was still about Yamamoto's fall. And 'Ie-kun'? What is he, a five years old?
He hated to admit it but he have no idea what is going on anymore. The Sawada twins are too far from what they are showing. At first, he had thought the older twin was nothing but a brat. Yet now he was slowly shredding his own cover. He was at loss on what to expect. At least he was sure that the younger twin was still more dangerous.
He could lure anyone in his fabricated world, turn it into a puppet and made it believe whatever he wants it to believe. He could make the truth seems like a lie and turns the lie into a credible truth. The mixture of both is the worst but they sure look the best with his smiles.
Watching the peacefully asleep blond, he made his decision. He need to find the root of these situations and he was going to start with Iemitsu and his data about his kids. He knows the bastard had been away from his family for years yet he gives him detailed information when he was briefed on what to expect of his kids.
For some reason, the idea of his 'sweet loving wife', Iemitsu's words not his, feeding him lie does not sit well with him. The woman seems clueless on what is really going on with her kids. All he knows from the little chat they had was she thinks Tsuna doesn't like her and was rebelling.
Secrets were running deep in their family. She herself was holding something away from him, something that she almost admitted in the heat of their conversation if not for the oven's timer.
With his mind finally made up, he picked the kid up with little to no difficulty and throws him to the green hot air balloon before hopping in himself.

Ietsuna wakes up lying comfortably in his bed. He kept his eyes on his white ceiling trying to remember what happen since he don't think he went home on his own.
"Ara, Ie-kun you're finally up," his mother's sweet voice reach him. He turns to his side and found his mother with a tray of food standing by the door. She was smiling pleasantly to him as usual but he don't enjoy it like he always do.
He used to use her smile as an assurance that he was better than his brother when things starts coming between them. That she only smile like that to him and not to Tsuna. Yet now it left him wondering why she isn't showing that expression to his twin ever.
"Where's Tsuna?" he can't help but asked.
"He's still in school, I guess. Are you feeling alright now? I made a hot soup for you," she said moving to his side and place the tray to his bedside table. "Do you want me to feed you?"
"I'm fine now, I can eat on my own. How did I get home?"
"Reborn-chan take you because you fainted. Did anything happened?"
He paused for a minute, the scene on the rooftop replaying on his mind. Bottling up his emotion, he lied smoothly, "Nothing special. Where's Reborn by the way?"
"Oh, he said he's going somewhere far and will be back in a few days. Just call if you need me, I'll be downstairs." He just nodded in reply.
Ietsuna sit up after Nana left and reach for the food when his eyes caught something violet from the box of his unused things. He place the bowl down and went beside the box and pull it out, getting a detached arm of an old stuffed toy.
"Ah, I destroyed it last year..." he mumbled to himself before putting the arm back to the box.
♥♥♥
It seems I can't keep Ietsuna's character, I apologize. I need your opinion though. From the little exposure he had, what do you think of him? Thank you in advance. Tsuna though seems like Byakuran now.
I hope you'd still enjoy the chapter. Thank you for reading.
