Chapter 1

Romeo's POV:

It's been 7 years. Wendy, Natsu, and the others still haven't come back. After a year without them, I've already begun to lose hope.

I'm 13 years old now, and lately, the guild has been pretty quiet. We've been losing a lot of members and are in debt.

I've gotten used to being alone without any friends, and I haven't smiled once ever since they left.

Wendy..... She promised that she would come back. I recalled the moment which I remember so clearly... The moment before she left for Tenrou. She was just like my big sister. I put my head down.

"Hey! Where is the money you owe us?" One of the members from Twilight Ogre busted in, throwing one of the chairs in the guild hall.

I glared at him. I've had enough. This guild has been pushing us around enough already! I stood up, raising my fist engulfed in flames.

"You idiot! Just let them do what they want!" My father said.

"But we can't let them push us around like this anymore. We're a guild, right?! We need to start sticking up for ourselves!" I shouted, throwing my fist in his face, leaving a mark.

The now angered man raised his fist, ready to punch me. I shut my eyes, waiting for it to happen, but felt nothing. Opening them, I looked up, seeing the man's legs sticking out from the ceiling. His whole body was engulfed in flames. Looking forward, I saw what I'd never imagine on seeing. It was Natsu... and everyone else in the guild!

I couldn't believe what I've seen. Before I knew it, uncontrollable tears flowed down my face.

"Nat...su?" I managed to choke out the words.

"Hey Romeo! Look at you, you're all grown up!" Natsu smiled at me with his big, toothy grin.

I teared up. "Natsu!" I poked his arm to check if he was actually real before getting my hopes up.

Wendy was the first thing that came to my mind. Where is she?

I ran around, looking for her.

"Romeo-kun? Where's Romeo-kun?!" I heard a girl's voice. That's her voice... It's her! I ran towards her.

"Wendy!" I saw her face. She looked exactly the same as she did seven years ago, but it didn't bother me. I wrapped my arms around her now smaller body.

"Um, excuse me... Who are you?" Wendy timidly asked.

"Wendy...it's me, Romeo." I whispered in her ear.

"ROMEO???!?!!!?!?!?!!!" She screamed. She tried pulling back, but I pulled her closer to me. "Wait, Romeo, I wanna see your face!" She grabbed my shoulders and tried pulling back again.

"Not yet... I don't want you to see me crying." I sniffed.

"Why? Why are you crying?" She asked, still pushing my shoulders back.

"Because....you were gone *sniff* for seven years!"

"Romeo....seven years?! We were only gone for a few weeks!" Wendy said, surprised.
