Chapter 2

Wendy's POV:

"PUT ME DOWN, ROMEO-KUUUUN!!!" I yelled.

"Nope, I'm kidnapping you for a while." Romeo-kun said as he carried me over his shoulder. "Just be thankful!" I heard the smile in his voice.

I started getting tired, and my eyes felt heavy. They closed for a second, but I opened them immediately, fighting the urge to sleep. My eyes slowly closed again, and I gave in.

"Um, Wendy?" I faintly heard Romeo-kun's voice.

With the last amount of energy I had, I managed to say, "Romeo-kuuuunnn......." then I drifted off to sleep.

Romeo's POV:

"Wendy?" I turned my head to see her sleeping face. "Of all times, why did you have to fall asleep now?" I sighed. "We're here." I opened the door of my apartment. I fell down to the ground with Wendy on top of me. "I need to rest," I mumbled.

Suddenly, I felt Wendy jolt up. I turned to face her as she sat on my legs. She looked straight into my eyes, then widened hers.

"WHERE AM I? WHO'RE YOU?!" She said alarmingly as she backed away.

"Are you serious?! Wendy, it's me, 'Romeo-kun'" I told her.

"Romeo.....kun?" she said, cocking her head. After realizing what just happened, she widened her eyes. "Oh yeah!!!! I remember!" she said with a relieved expression on her face. She laughed at herself, hitting her forehead a few times.

"Wendy.... I sometimes question your sanity..." I said, chuckling.

"I'm sorryyyyy! I was just tired! >_<" She whined.

"It's fine. I'm the one who woke you up anyways." I patted her head.

"By the way, Romeo-kun, why isn't Macao-san here with you?" she asked curiously.

"Well...last year we got enough money, so he allowed me to move into my own apartment." I said, thinking back.

"Wow, Romeo-kun! So mature!" Wendy gawked. I smiled.

I went into my room and came back. "You can use the shower, and here's a change of clothes." I handed them to her.

"Thank you very much!" Wendy said as she took the clothes.

After a few minutes, I heard the shower turn off from my room as I read a book. A few seconds later, she came into my room, wearing my clothes.

"Pft." I tried holding back from laughing. "BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! They barely even fit you!" I said as I wiped a tear.

"Whatever!" Wendy blushed, averting her eyes.

"I didn't mean it that way!" I said, chuckling. "I just thought it was cute." I smiled.

Ignoring me, Wendy breathed in the air.

"What're you doing, Wendy?" I asked. She went onto the bed, putting her head into my pillow.

"So this is Romeo-kun's scent." She said with her head in my pillow.

I blushed. "Don't do that! It's embarrassing!" I looked to the side.

"But I like Romeo-kun's smell!" She said, looking at me, then at the book I was holding. She widened her eyes. "Wow! You can read?!" She almost yelled.

"Yes, Wendy. I can read! Why is it as if you were shocked?" I said, irritated.

"Because I am shocked! You couldn't read the last time I saw you!" She said, holding back laughs.

There was a visible tick mark on my head. "Wendyyyyy!" I jumped on top of her. "Don't mention that ever again!" I poked her cheekbone.

"Ow >-<" She rubbed it. "Sowwy." She said, wiping away fake tears.

I smirked. "That's better."

"But can you please get off of me, Romeo-kun? You're heavy!" She groaned. I noticed how close our faces were, then blushed, moving back quickly.

"Uh...sorry." I mumbled.

"Well, whatever." She said, pulling the covers over her. "G'night!" She laid on my bed.

"Hey! You're sleeping in my bed?!" I yelled.

"Mhm." She said with her eyes closed.

"Then I'll have to sleep in the futon! Man, this is tiring!" I groaned. I stood up, then started walking towards the cabinet. I felt her hand reach out to grab my wrist. "Wendy?" I looked back.

"Don't go..." she said, trying to pull me back. I smiled.

"I guess there's no helping it." I crawled onto the other side of the bed. She let go of my hand, then turned to face me with my eyes still closed.

"Romeo-kun is so warm." She smiled.

I stared at her sleeping face. "Geez, Wendy. Don't sleep so defensively!" I said. "Someone might actually do something if it weren't me seeing you like this..." I blushed.
