Meanwhile at Audrey's place of residence.
"Fucking hell, joey!! I'm bored and I have no fucking inspiration for the next novel!! People are getting tired of my "one murder, drawn out mystery" stories. I need to spice it up.." She paced her study, screaming in frustration. Her roommate spoke up, stuttering a bit. Audrey didn't usually yell. Or get upset for that matter. "Well... how about multiple murders...?"
She scoffed glared at him. "Don't you think I thought of that already? I'm just stuck. I Don't know who to kill-" She paused correcting herself. "Kill off next. Sorry." Her eyes scanned the room and fell upon Joey. "Hey. Can you get me some water, please? I really need to calm down..." He nodded and walked out of the room. He muttered "no kidding" as he was leaving. Audrey sat down and rubbed her head. Her eyes slowly started feeling heavier and heavier until she found that she was asleep.
Audrey's dreaming was interupted by a loud crash piercing the silence of her home. She shot up and ran in the direction she'd heard the cras come from. The only light guiding her way was the lamp in her study. She felt around in the darkness, looking for a light switch. She found none but soon realized that she was in the kitchen. Her foot hit something soft on the ground and she used the counter next to her to brace herself. She felt something wet on her hand and assumed that it was water. She soon found a light switch. She turned the lights on without any hesitation. She disliked the darkness. Audrey put her arm over her eyes, letting them adjust to the brightness. Once they had , she wished she hadn't moved her arm. The scene before her eyes was gruesome. Her friend's corpse hung from the ceiling by his feet. His neck had been slit and he'd been cut open from his stomach to his chest. Various organs were spread across the kitchen and his blood had been used to make a crudely drawn heart on the wall with a human heart nailed in the middle. Her eyes began to blur with tears as she let out an anguished cry.
