"Quick guys. We have to run...Mila wake up!" I hear voices screaming and I suddenly wake up. I begin to breathe heavily and feel someone helping me get up. I look up to see Derek's face worried to the extent we are in trouble.
"W-what's going on?" I ask and we begin to run. I see Aaron and Becky in front of us. Then turn to see Aidan running behind us.
"They've found us, well Veronica did. We need to get out of here before she finds us" Derek says and we begin sprinting for our lives.
My legs wouldn't stop, I was running for my life. I catch Veronica's scent knowing she's close. What if the others are with her but have planned to trap us? Who knows what Xavier is going to do?
"Guys split up, Aaron and Becky rub your clothes up against any trees and keep moving around to help her loose our tracks. Aidan, try and see if there is anyone else surrounding around us and stay out of sight. Mila, your with me. Everyone, meet at the river bank...it's 10 minutes from here. Go!" Derek demands and everyone did as they were told even though Aidan didn't look to convinced at first. I watch as the others take their own path while Derek and I head off to ours.
"What are we doing?" I ask while he grips my arm tightly not allowing me to be one centimetre away from him. But the pain didn't concern me. Derek raises his hand and grows out one nail. He looks at me at I frown in confusion.
"Give me your hand" he pronounces and I do as he says. I give him my hand and he immediately cuts it open.
"Now, follow me and when I say squeeze the blood out of your hand. Do so" I nod I'm reply. We run to a place surrounded my rocks.
"One here" he says and I curl my wrist up as I saw drops of blood exit my hand. I flinch in a little pain but it's manageable.
We carry on to another area and I drop another amount there.
"Two more" he says and pulls me along with him again.
"Not to stop our process right now but you can let me go. I'm going to follow you no matter what" I say and he finally lets go. A little sigh of relief was left out.
We manage to make two more stops then we hid in a small gap between bushes and trees. The space was little but comforting. Hiding was our only chance now. Derek cuts a piece of material from inside his jacket and wraps up my wound.
"Have you forgotten?" I ask and he looks at me confused.
"What?" He questions.
"I'm a werewolf, I'll heal" I untie the material from my hand and throw it to the ground. I look at it and show Derek. It already had healed.
"Right" Derek simply replies.
We sit here, sharing each other's glances. It must seem awkward, but despise what's going on the moment it kept some peace between us. Then out gaze broke.
"She's gone, I don't smell her anymore" I sniff in the air, it was true we lost her. Derek and I got out of the bush, relief was flushed over me. I could live for one more day.
We finally made to the river and see that Aidan was the only one there. We wait patiently for the Aaron and Becky to return, until it was now 30 minutes since we have last saw them. Where the hell could they be? They were probably lost.
I saw a figure appear from the bushes and it was Aaron. I sigh in relaxation. But there was no Becky. I walk up to him and his face was pale.
"Where's Becky?" I ask with my arms crossed. He didn't answer. Instead, stood in silence and looks to the ground with some sort of guilt.
