They all stared at Sevin laying on the mattress, still in the same state that they left him in. "Well, he's not dead." Paul responded sarcastically.
"No duh, if he was, we wouldn't be here," growled Ashton.
"His body is getting weaker, but we can't take him to a hospital without questions that we can't give answers to." April stated after checking Sevin's pulse.
"So what are we going to do?" asked Felix.
"We have to find a way to put you all back together into Sevin," Teron said, "we should hit the books and see if we can find anything similar mentioned that might help."
"Yeah but you don't exactly have a library here to go through." April said glacing around and seeing only a small bookcase.
"That's what the web is for." Calvin responded, holding up his phone.
"And the tunnel goes to town, there's the library," Kristine added. "But we'll have to wait for morning to get into it, as it will be closing soon."
"Who wants to use phones?" Teron asked, holding up four: his, Kristine's, Calvin's and Sevin's. "I also have a tablet, and a laptop, but no one touches the laptop but me."
Ashton walked over and took Sevin's phone. "Toss me mine," Calvin said before Paul could claim it.
Teron tossed the phone across to Calvin, who was lounging on one end of the sofa, and handed his own phone to Paul. "Don't break it." He muttered, under his breath.
"I won't, scout's honor." Paul said saluting.
"Sevin never went to scouts," Felix answered scowling at Paul. "Give me the phone." He held out his hand, waiting to procure the device.
"Fine, April and I can share the tablet." Paul responded, giving Teron's phone to Felix and taking the tablet off the table and going to sit next to April who was still with Sevin.
"I'll take that back," Kristine said, taking her phone back from Teron before wandering over to the sofa and plopping down across from Calvin.
"Ok everyone, claim a genre, like for example, I'll take folklore, and see what you can find that relates to our situation." Teron announced, explaining how they would look for information.
Five minutes hadn't passed before April and Paul started arguing, unable to agree on something they had found. When they didn't stop after a moment, Ashton yelled at them. Then all hell broke loose, literally.
There was banging on the cavern walls that echoed into the room, disrupting everyone. "What's that?" Kristine asked, getting up off the sofa to glance in the direction of the noise. She had no sooner uttered the words then 5 goblins burst into the room through the magic sealed door.
Swinging the scythes wildly, the goblins began destroying Teron's living room before advancing on the living. Teron directed everyone to the hidden door that went to the tunnel leading to town. In close quarters there wasn't a whole lot they could do. They didn't have their weapons so had to keep moving.
Part way down the tunnel, April stopped running. "I don't think they are following," she responded, huffing for breath. "I can't really hear the goblins anymore."
"I think your right," agreed Felix, after taking several deep breaths. "Do we have to follow this all the way to town, or does it branch off somewhere?"
"What about weapons?" Paul asked.
"If they aren't following, I don't want to go looking for them." April responded worn-out.
"I second that." Kristine said, leaning against the wall. Paul held up his hands in exasperation and waited in silence.
Teron stood for a moment looked down both directions of the tunnel. "I think there's another tunnel that cuts off this one, with a warded door. I never bothered to try and open it, but we can try. Don't know where it goes to though."
