Malia's POV:
I woke up around five to "Eye Of The Tiger". Not the greatest song on Earth but at least it gets you hyper
I danced to the beat while changing my clothes and attempting to brush the rats' nest that is my hair. Key word: attempting.
Finally, after what seemed like forever, I gave up and went to the kitchen for a much needed cup of coffee.
I moaned as the bitter taste of black coffee entered my mouth.
"Hello."
I screamed and dropped the cup of coffee in shock, but before it could hit the ground, a red mist caught it.
I slowly turned around to face Wanda who looked like she was struggling not to laugh.
"This. Never. Happened." I said taking my cup again.
She nodded though the grin remained on her face.
"I didn't mean to scare you. It's just we were never properly introduced yesterday so I thought I might say hello."
"Are we the only ones up?" I wondered.
Wanda nodded. "The others will be awake shortly though Rhodey has to leave yesterday."
I grinned probably looking like a mad women.
"Ah yes. The appointment."
"What were you doing in Sokovia if you don't mind me asking?" Wanda wondered., promptly ignoring my temporary insanity.
"How do you know I don't live there?" I retorted.
"You have an American accent." She said bluntly.
"I was visiting my grandmother." I said, swallowing the lump in my throat. "She's the only family I had left and one of those damned robots killed her."
I smiled bitterly, thinking about how I was all alone now.
It must have showed on my face as Wanda shook her head at me.
"You have us." She said. "I know how it feels to lose a family member. My parents died when I was young due to a shell hitting our house. My twin brother Pietro died in the attack at Sokovia. He sacrificed himself for Barton."
"I'm not gonna say I'm sorry because sorry doesn't bring him back. What I am going to do is throw your words right back at you."
She looked at me confused, blinking a bit quickly.
"You're not alone Wanda. I know we don't know each other well but I'm here for you. Whether you need a shoulder to cry on or boy advice, I'm here."
Unshed tears shone in her eyes as she hugged me tightly, burrying her face in my shoulder.
And I hugged her back just as tightly.
