*Tyrion's Perspective*

"And in order to carry on the family name, you will marry (Y/N) of house Stark" Tywin orders, Tyrion shifting up straight in his seat.

"But father -" he tries to protest, only to be cut off.

"I don't want to hear your complains. You will marry her, bed her, and she will give you a child". He could tell by the tone in his fathers voice that he is serious and won't take no for an answer.

It isn't as if Tyrion has a problem with marrying you, however he knows it would be quite the opposite. A part of him feels guilty for having to corner you into marrying him, and his big heart was to blame for those feelings.

"Yes father.." Tyrion reluctantly agrees, standing from his chair to exit the room.

*Your Perspective*

"You look absolutely amazing" your friend says, stepping back to admire you in your wedding dress.

"It's not too late to back out" you tell her, staring miserably at the mirror. You still didn't understand why you out of everyone were chosen to marry the Imp. Of course, you had no say in the matter, and you've embraced the fact that the rest of your life would be horrid nightmare. "Well, what are we waiting for?" you ask, turning your back to your friend to approach and open the door. "No point in delaying my miserable future any further".

"Oh come on, you're being a drama queen" she replies, reaching out to pull you back into the room. You knew she was right about the way you are acting, yet you couldn't help. You had always been a witty and stubborn person, and the anger you felt from this whole situation has brought out the worst in you. Letting out a long sigh, you turn to face your friend.

"Look, I'm sorry. I really am. I've just been so bitter since I've received the news. Put yourself in my position, how would you feel?" you rhetorically ask, not expecting for her to give you an answer back.

"I think you have spent so much time focusing on the bad, that you haven't even thought about giving this marriage a chance. I've spoken to Tyrion many times before, and he isn't nearly as bad as you think he is" she explains, surprising you.

"Well, what's he like?" you ask, curious. You had only ever briefly spoken to him once, never given the opportunity to get a full impression.

"Just like you"

"Like me?"

"Yes. Equally witty and smart" she says with a smile.

"I guess I'll see for myself.."

*After the wedding ceremony*

Tyrion holds the door open for you, watching as you slowly and dreadfully entering the room. Your eyes scan around briefly before turning to face your new husband.

"Care for a drink, my lady?" he asks, strolling towards the pint of wine sitting on top of the table.

"No thank you, my lord"

"Tyrion - Call me Tyrion" he says, raising his glass to you before gulping down the entire cup. He sets the glass back on the table, pouring himself another drink.

"Tyrion" you say, the cup now lingering on his lips. "I think you've had enough for today, don't you think?".

You watch as he raises an eyebrow at you, surprisingly listening to your words and setting the cup back on the table.

"You can never have enough wine" he replies, beginning to inch slowly towards you.

"Until you're bent over puking up your precious wine on the chamber floor". Your words make him stop in his place, tilting his head slightly while scanning you from a short distance.

"You're a witty one, aren't you?"

"I suppose.."

"Witty.. Beautiful... Smart... What more could a man want?". You feel a slight burst of butterflies from his compliment, something you had never expected to feel in this moment with him.

When he resumes his steps towards you, you fight the urge to step away, deciding to give him a chance like your friend had suggested. To your surprise, instead of pulling at the fabric of your clothes, or touching you intimately like you thought he would, his hand gently takes a hold of yours.

"I want you to know that I wont do anything that you don't want me to do" he tells you, his voice quiet.

"But your father.." you begin before his words interrupt.

"I don't care what my father thinks. I want you to be happy, and when you are ready, we will take things one step at a time".

You can't help but smile at him, thankful for his understanding. Perhaps you had over reacted after all. Maybe this marriage wouldn't be so bad..
