You had heard all about this mother of dragons from several people. At first, the news didn't seem to capture your attention, however you've recently took an interest. If many people were telling you the same thing, than surely these dragon children of hers must be real. There was only one way to know for sure, and that involved you going to Meereen to see for yourself.

Of course, you didn't expect it to go down this way. You had arrived safety, your plan only to spot the dragons and return home. Now, your hands are chained behind your back while two members of the unsullied lead you before the queen. It seems the many people who told you about the mother of dragons failed to mention the massive army she had behind her.

Now, standing in front of her, you strangely aren't afraid. She didn't look much older than you, and she had a beauty and grace about her that raised an aura of kindness and understanding. However, you did feel a trace of nerves due to the man standing beside her. The men back home weren't nearly as handsome as he was.

He was tall and strong, a full head of glorious hair, thick dark facial hair, and eyes that could make your heart stop with one glance.

You found it extremely hard to keep your focus on the queen, that is until she finally asks you a question, her voice loud and powerful.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?"

"My name is (Y/N), your grace. I've come by myself to explore the city of Meereen. I've heard much about it's beauty" you explain, trying your best to sound confident.

"You surely didn't come all the way here just for the beauty of a city, did you?" she asks, raising an eyebrow.

"No, your grace". There was no point in hiding your true reasons for being here, after all, there was no harm in your intentions. "I've come to see your dragons"

The look on her face changes from beauty and grace to hatred and rage.

"My dragons?!". She is standing now, her blue eyes glaring into yours from afar making it hard to swallow.

"I just wanted to see-"

"You mean you just wanted to STEAL them. They are still only babies, someone must have set you up to this". At this point, your body has completely filled with fear and embarrassment.

"I-I promise you, your grace. I wasn't going to steal them. I just wanted to-" Once against your words are cut short by an angry queen.

"Enough. Anyone who involves them selves with my dragons will receive no sympathy. I order you, (Y/N), to be executed before morning comes. Guards, lock her in the cells until it is time".

Your knees drop to the floor, heart sinking in your chest. You couldn't even believe what was happening, and that everyone is just standing around and letting this happen.

As you are pulled up by two of the guards, your eyes drift to the handsome man from earlier, a look of disappointment on his face as he speaks with her. You manage to catch him shaking his head at her before storming off in what looks like anger.

*Later that night*

You have spent the last couple of hours crying your eyes out, curled up on the floor. What you thought would be a fun adventure has turned into an absolute nightmare, and now you were to die for something completely untrue and unfair.

The sound of the cell door opening startles you to a standing position, ready to fight anyone who enters and dares to drag you away.

To your surprise, only one man has entered, that man being the one whom you were head over heels for just by simply looking at him. He shuts the door quietly behind him as if he is not supposed to be here.

"Did your queen send you? Is it time for my death already?" you ask, irritated with just about everything. He may be gorgeous, but you couldn't believe he serves a women who is willingly planning on killing an innocent person.

"No, I've come here on my own actually. My names Daario" he introduces, allowing yourself to calm down.

"What are you doing here, Daario?" you ask, his name rolling off the tip of your tongue, surprised at how fun it was to say.

"I wanted to check on you" At this point, all of your anger has been replaced by nerves and butterflies. "How are you doing?" he asks.

"As good as a person who is about to die at any moment can be". You watch as he runs a hand through his hair, scratching the back of his head as if he is contemplating something.

"Were you actually only here to see the dragons, nothing more?" he asks. You bring your arms up to fold across your chest.

"Of course I was. Why on earth would a girl like me steal her dragons? I wouldn't even know how without getting my eyebrows burnt off". Your words seem to amuse him, a smile forming on his gorgeous face. "Is your queen always this cruel?" you ask, curious as to why someone who seems as sweet as him even serves her.

"You won't believe me but she actually is a good person"

"You're right, I don't believe you"

"Look.." he begins, stepping closer towards you. Your breathing quickens at the shrinking space between you two. "I usually agree with her decisions, but with this I don't. I tried talking her out of it, but she wouldn't hear me out. She gets really defensive over her dragons" he explains. His height forces you to tilt your head up to make eye contact with him, his deep brown eyes somehow able to provide you with comfort in such a life or death moment.

"Thank you for trying" you reply, doing your best to sound brave. You are appreciative of his support, yet it didn't change the fact that you are still about to die.

"I didn't just come here to talk, (Y/N). I'm here to get you out". The butterflies in your stomach make room for the excitement that burst through you, eyes widening with hope.

"But what about Daenerys? Won't she be mad?"

"Probably. But I'll just have to deal with her later"

"Later?" you ask, confused as to what he means.

"I'm taking you back home. If I'm going to go through the trouble of freeing you, I want to at least make sure you make it back safe".

You can't help but throw your arms around him, grateful for his kindness and understanding.

"Thank you - Thank you so much for believing in me when no one else would". When you pull away, you manage to catch his skin turning a slight shade of pink.

"I'm a good judge of character. The second I saw you, I could see more than just your beauty" he explains, now making you turn a shade of pink. "Come on, Let's go". The warmth and safety of his hand wraps around yours, pulling you along behind him.
