🍁Hayden's P.O.V.🍁
We had a few periods before it was lunch. Lillia, Jay and I sat at our usual table. I noticed some daggers directed at me coming from Nevla's table. Nevla and her followers were giving me disgusted looks. Mostly coming from Nevla and Tina.
I slid into my seat after getting my food ignoring their gazes of disgust. I couldn't really bother myself with them.
But there's one things I don't get. Nevla hasn't done anything to me yet and I don't understand why. Usually she would bug me all the time, but lately she's backed off a little. It seems... suspicious.
Lillia noticed my sudden discomfort and followed my path of vision. She looked at Nevla, then to me, then to Jay- who was on his phone, then back to me, "What's wrong?" She asked me concerned.
I still haven't told her about anything that happened since I moved.
"Nothing." I answered too quickly, "She's just staring." I added clearing my throat.
She eyed me suspiciously, "Just ignore her."
I nodded my head and continued eating.
Suddenly, Lillia kept staring behind me.I noticed a figure from the corner of my eye. I turned my head slightly to find Kian and Jake behind me.
"Hey." Kian greeted.
"Hey Patrick!" Jack greeted after him. I took a second to look at his expression. He was being serious.
Kian nudged Jake with his elbow.
"Ow!"Jake shouted, "What was that for?" Jake added rubbing his arm."Being an idiot." Kian smirked then turning his attention back to me. I looked at Lillia who looked utterly confused and Jay- well Jay was still on his phone.
I looked back at Kian."Well anyway, I wanted to ask whether you'd like to sit with us." Kian said, "You can bring your crew too." Kian motioned towards Lillia and Jay. Surprisingly Jay actually looked up from his phone, but not even 2 seconds later, returned to it.
"Oh uhm... " I looked at Lillia for assurance and she just stared at me wide eyed.
"You want us to sit at the popular table?" She looked between Kian and Jake, "The football team table mixed with cheerleaders?" She asked.
Basically there was this huge table in the middle of the room.
Reserved for the football players and also cheerleaders. The teachers didn't plan on it, it's just everyone knows it's only for football players and cheerleaders. It's like a tradition.
The only problem is that's the table where Nevla and her crew sits."Well, yeah." Kian nodded.
I looked at Jake who was looking at the ceiling, for some reason."We'll think about it." I answered.
Kian looked at me dumbfounded,"There's nothing to think about. Just come." He started pulling me off my seat and I tried to resist his force but I didn't have much strength compared to him.
Curse my weakness.
kian called out to Jake and snapped him out of his thoughts. Jake jumped at the sound. Kian nodded his head in Lillia's direction, gesturing to get her. Kian led me over to the table while Lillia and I tried to get out the the guys' grasps. I caught a glimpse of Jay slowly getting up from our usual table- still looking at his phone- following us. We earned a few weird looks from people in the cafeteria.
We eventually got to the 'popular table' as Lillia calls it.
Kian called, "Guys, " gaining everyone at the table's attention, "This is Hayden, and uhm, her crew." He gestured between Lillia (who looked plain nervous) and Jay (still on his phone) awkwardly.
