Kendron, Moira and I had said our fairwells and now we were at our gate. Our castle-like place of abode stood before us. It was pretty tall and even though night hadn't yet fallen Aunt Err had turn on the lights. I opened the gates and stepped in, of course with Moira holding my arm.

Our dog, Erberus, ran right pass me and barreled into Moira, sendind her to the ground. It was as if I didn't exist. She laughed and hugged him and he licked her face. We lived in a house of six people; My father ( Artemis Hallodean), My mother ( Julia Hallodean), My aunt ( Err Levy), My cousin ( Eren Levy), Yours truly and Moira.

"Good evening honey" my mother waved from the front steps.

"Hi Mom" I ran and hugged her.

By this time Erberus had led Moira to the front steps and she joined the hug.

"Hey Sport, what's up" my Dad walked up and ruffled my hair.

"Good enough I guess" I smiled and walked into the house.

The inside of our house was as clichè castle-looking as the rest of it. It was made out of stone but the interior was lit up by bulbs not torches. And beautiful drapes hung over glass windows.

I threw my bag off and lazily trodded upstairs. Eren was sitting at my bedroom door and bouncing a tennis ball against it.

"Hi Eren" I said a bit too nonchalantly as past her and open the door.

I ran up to my bed dived upon it and shoved my computer chair at the door to close it. It shut with a loud bang and after a couple moments I heard the ball bouncing against it again.

I lied down and thought about what had happened how Moira had downed Ares in one move and I had attacked against my own will. Not of myself but of something inside me. Kendron hadn't just stood there like a dumb shit he fought for us, with us, guess that's why he's my best friend. If anyone deserved my sister it was him.

I put in my earphones and turned on some thumping rap music and relaxed in my own zone, a temporary peace from the real world. I felt my eyelids closing after about five repeats of "Rap God". I had not said good night to anyone, ate dinner nor had a bath and yet still no urge to do any of those activities appealed to me. I just needed to rest.

I took my earphones out, turned of the music and without a second thought turned off the light and dropped stone-stiff into bed.
I could still hear the thumping of the ball against my door.
