When we came to we were back in the dark office of The Gemini and Gilead was gone but  FoxTrot  stood a distance from us, seeming to examine us deeply. I felt his gaze run to and fro across us.

He spoke suddenly.

"There are many things you do not know that have been kept in the shadows for your whole life"

He reluctantly followed up.

"There is an entire world unknown to you"

"How does Gilead do that" Moira blurted out.

FoxTrot seemed annoyed by her outburst but answered.

"Gilead is one of our most powerful and most valued assets. His abilities are seemingly boundless. But as to how he did what he did, that ties in with my first statement"

"And just what do you mean by an entire world is unknown to me, what he did was just an advanced use of technology, right ?" now, I was interested.

"Come with me and listen" he opened the diamond knob and stepped out.

I gave Moira my left arm and we headed out after him.

This time as we walked down the white hall something was different about the atmosphere, there was sound. A lot of voices to be exact.

"What you experienced this morning was no technology" he stated sternly.

"Then what was it ?" I was a man of science and logic and there was no way astral projection was a variable.

"What  Gilead did this morning was something he has always been able to do" we were obviously in  a maze as we turned a different corner every ten seconds as the halls led on.

"Are you saying he was born being ale to do that"

"Yes, Precisely" he stated hands at his sides, not even glancing backwards.

Moira paused when this was said and we jolted to a sudden stop. But only for a few seconds as we realized FoxTrot would not stop walking to wait. So we quickly caught back up, not wanting to get left in the maze.

Moira turned to me while we walked.

"Chenin I know this is kinda crazy but we gotta check this out, I felt myself floating in those trees, felt my soul being tossed back into my body, you know it was astral projection"

My mind fought against the idea but as much as I did not want to admit it, Moira was right. I had seen Alisa crying, Ares being stomped and felt the wind against my being all while my physical body still resided on the wooded forest floor.

I had witnessed the undeniable. Magic.

"How is it that Gilead is able to do that" I inquired.

"Gilead is of a special family line, one like yours"

"There's nothing special about our family line" I said flatly.

"But that's besides the point, did Gilead inherit this ability ?" Moira was teeming with curiousity.

"Yes, he did, due to the line of his father's blood" he simply spoke, never seeming to care if we believed or not.

I really wanted to juice this mad fantasy for everything it was worth so I asked another burning question that he had arisen.

"Why do only some family lines possess this "power" ?" I asked not meaning to sound sarcastic but I probably did.

"About 40 million years ago when the heavens sent it, only a handful of humans made contact "

"Made contact with what" Moira said, I felt her shudder with excitement.

But it quickly dissipated when The Gemini answered.

"That question is for a much later time"

By this time I realized that now we were just walking down a straight hall and the muttering I had picked up earlier was now as buzzing bees.

Then I saw the end of the hall. The apex of a gigantic glass dome came into view as we neared the exit.

"Allow me to show you MetaGear" FoxTrot stepped out first and put his hands on the dome looking down through it.

I followed suit and when Moira and I reached the exit, I looked into the dome and saw beauty. Moira's face also lit up, she heard.

Looking in from the top of the dome I saw hundreds of students, walking and talking in the colossal dining hall we had passed through earlier that morning.

Most wearing the full black, average pupils, others wearing our neon blue with black, special students, but as my eyes told me there were no teachers or orderlies in the mix. Most of them were gathered around the dining table eating dishes I could not clearly make out.

"There are 10 languages being spoken down there" Moira smiled and jumped with childish excitement and looked as if she would claw through the glass towards the hall.

For a split second FoxTrot looked pleased by Moira's lightning accurate conclusion, but he quickly hid it. I saw it for a second.

While gazing into the cesspool of bustle, my sight landed on one Caucasian girl for about five seconds, she was in a special pupil uniform and looked no older than 10, but it was as if she felt me looking.

For with a quick motion she snapped her head up to catch my gaze and her silver eyes shone so unusually bright that I had to retract my gaze as I felt unnaturally afraid. But her eyes quickly shifted to FoxTrot.

Her expression changed to absolute bliss. She tapped on the shoulder of a dark-skinned girl beside her and pointed to him. Soon approximately 10 children were looking up enraptured by The Gemini and smiling.

He waved back, expressionless, and then began to go back down the hall we had come through. He said one last thing before he left.

"Delilah will do as she had promised and Welcome to MetaGear" and then the wall churned and bubbled and then the entrance closed, becoming solid wall.

"I hear her, she's coming from around the other side of the dome" Moira pointed at the air

Sure enough Delilah soon came into view. Walking in the same attire and manner to that morning.

"Well let's go then, I'll show you where you'll be staying during your time here" she began to walk away.

"These people sure like to be followed." I thought with a bit of humor.

But the second I made that mental joke I felt a jet of pain in my heart as my mind wandered towards my parents. I saw them post mortem once again and streams of tears wanted to force through my eyes.

But I had to be strong. For Moira. She needed me.

We reached a door on the other side of the dome where another teacher emerged from.

"Alright, time to break you two up" Delilah laughed.

The other teacher, remarkably short and with could be simply considered a mean face , took Moira's arm and technically dragged her off mine, with no introduction.

"Bye Chen" she waved at me and started crying as she was pulled in a different direction when the door we went through split into two ways left and right, she was tugged left and I right.

I knew it wasn't because we separated why she was crying. And that's why I couldn't cry for our parents. Both of us couldn't.

Delilah led me down a spiral flight of stairs to where I assumed was the male dormitory.

"Brace yourself"

"Why" I asked.

"You're about to meet some very interesting people"
