Chapter 20

She helps Little Lilly eat her sandwich as I eat mine "Have you been eating?" I question her and she nods. "You are not going to get out of knowing until later" she still teases. This is going to kill me until I know. She takes little Lilly home and I take a little nap. I haven't been getting a lot of sleep working extra hours and everything. I hear the truck speed off after a little and I finally pass out. I wake up after I hear the truck drive off again. I hear her come back after about 10 minutes. I have grabbed some tea to try to wake up and stay up. She walks in and walks over. I kiss her on the lips. "You can't look into the bags until I'm ready then I'll come and get you but stay out here okay?" She asks and has the biggest smile I can't resist l. I nod reluctantly but I go on the couch and sip my tea thinking of all the personal things that could make her smile so big. I let my mind wonder and wonder and then I hear her shuffle and yell my name. Still having a huge smile on her face as j look over at her "are you ready?" That smile still there. She has changed into a sweatshirt. One of mine too. She must be hiding something big. She sits on top of me legs around the sides of me and she tells me to unzip said sweater. I do as I'm told and read the shirt. It's very confusing but it has a picture of a smile on top next to her belly and another smaller smile with one single tooth. I'm just so lost. "What does this mean?"  I ask completely puzzled. She kisses me on my cheek and hands me a box with something  and smiles wider. And I look up at her seeing this.. What looks like positive pregnancy test. "Continue please." She smirks and sticks her tongue out a little she's so happy.  I hope this really isn't a joke. I would hate that. I continue like I was told and open the box and read the card on top. I smile and look further and find little shoes. And my eyes start to water and I smile. "No way.." I try to start. "Are you preg-" my voice cracks and she nods. "Yes as far as I know. Monday I have made a doctors appointment and I called so you can have that day off." She informs me. I hug her and kiss her belly. I lift her up and get up myself and spin smiling like a kid in the candy shop. Her face turns colors so I set her down "Sorry I'm just so happy." I explain and tears of joy fall as she hugs and kisses my tears away. "All I know is that I love you" I'm so damn happy I'm bouncing off the walls. "I know I'm pregnant because j had morning sickness and that was 2 months ago.  The doctors think I'm about 5 or 6 months an if I'm 6 we can decide the sex of the baby!"  I beam I'm so happy. A family  that I can take care of! Monday comes just so soon.
