Chapter 2 | Welcome Back Planning

Max's POV

"Have you taken your medicine yet, my little potato?" I said to Briana as she wheeled out from her room with her Green Tea I made for her earlier. "Yes.... I just want to go back to the office and record. I mean, it's literally been, what, nearly a month and a half to two months now?!? I just wish that-" "Shhhh....." I held her in my arms as her eyes started to tear up. "I know that your still in a lot of pain, baby. But look on the bright side!!! In just 2 weeks, you won't have to take any more of that disgusting medicine. The doctor says that you can go into work in just 2 more days!!!" "You're right. On the bright side, I have you to look forward to seeing every day when you come home from work. I'm just so grateful that Alesa actually offered to take care of me while you go to work. Speaking of work, don't you have to go? It's 7:52, and work starts at 8:30, and with all the traffic that's going on this morning according to the news, it could take you nearly 20 minutes to get there." "Oh shoot! You're right, I've gotta get going. I'll be back as soon as I can after work. Also, I know just how to celebrate you going to work in a few days." "How is that?" She says as I turn the doorknob. "I'm going to stop by the bakery and get you your favorite!!! MEAT PIE!!!" "Yay!!! I've been craving a Meat Pie all week! Thank you so much my little knight." I kiss her goodbye, and walk out to the car, mentally preparing for the next 2 days to come.

Adam's POV

I see Max walking towards his office, and I run towards him, still with my recording camera in hand. "HEY MAXYMAXY!!!! HOW YA DOING?!? HUH? HUH? ANSWER ME!! DON'TTURNYOURBACKONMEWHENIASKYOUAQUESTIONMADMAX!!!" He turns around and glares at me as though he is about to kill me, and I don't doubt that some day he will. I finally calm down from laughing, and enter his office, seeing that he has just started setting up to record. "Hey buddy, so about Sunday, are you still going through with it?" I ask Max. He has been dating Briana, a girl who works at the offices with us, for about 4 and a half years now. Recently, he has been thinking about taking the next big step with her. And by that, I mean something REALLY BIG!!! Nobody but Max knows what it is, and he says that in 2 days when Briana is allowed to come back in, we are going to have a big welcome back surprise party for her, and that is when he is going to be doing the big surprise. He turns to face me, and nods his head. I could tell that he is really tired from the past few weeks with trying to pay off his debt and deal with all the payments. I decide to leave him alone for a few so that way he could finish setting up his station, and I head over to Ross' office to gather the decorations for the party.
