"You know, you holding on is really starting to be a pain in the ass. With Cas gone, you aren't helping." I said to the empty air. No one was in the room with me, no one living anyway. It had been a week, and I've had no signs of Cas anywhere.
"I'm sorry, but your protection is really the only thing I care about. You'll thank me later." Morgan's voice sounded behind me. I didn't turn around.
"I've been to all heaven, hell, and purgatory. What makes you think I can't protect myself?" I pondered over what to say next before blurting things out.
"You became a mass murderer in Purgatory, ignoring the one monster that was able to get out. You spent a year in hell being tortured by whoever did that. You stabbed yourself in heaven shortly before becoming an angel. There's a list. Would you like me to continue?" Morgan's voice had a cocky sound to it.
"Don't be a little bitch. I've survived for this long." I sighed, lowering my head into my hands.
"Name-calling, really? We're going to do name-calling now?" Her smirk could be seen in the mirror across the room. "You know, maybe it isn't all that bad that your little winged rat is gone. As long as you don't have anymore interaction with the Winchesters, then you will be finally safe." She continued to speak, her voice growing metallic.
"What will it take to get you to let go?" I snarled rolling my eyes at the ghostly figure.
"Your death. Your final death. The one where you're either doomed to eternal imprisonment in hell or gifted eternal joy in heaven. Really, it isn't that much to ask." Morgan replied, looking around the messy room. The room had only gotten messier as the days had gone by. I stayed silent for a bit before I found the right words I was looking for.
"You know, like you said before, he's coming back. And even if he doesn't, which I hope to god he does, I'll be going to Sam and Dean again. Even if Dean did drag me up from hell, they're still my brothers. I won't avoid them." I replied.
"Yea, I know. That's why any time you go near them I'll be there to kill them. Sound good?" I turned around to look at her, seeing the Morgan that nearly killed Cas.
"You're a bitch, you know. You're a complete and utter asshole because you want to keep me safe. All you're doing is making me mad." Morgan looks directly into my eyes.
"But you can't kill yourself. Ever. I'll be there to stop you. I'll never let you die." Morgan smiled.
"That's impossible. I'm human." My face shows confusion at the words she was saying.
"Ah, but that isnt true. You're one of my kind. And also a fallen angel now considering all things. You can't die anymore." Morgan looks at her hands, sharpening her claws on the wood next to her. I couldn't find words, leaving silence to fill the air. We sat there for a few minutes before I got a question.
"Does Cas know?" My voice was no higher than a whisper.
"Oh, there's really no telling deary. He may want you dead just as much as I want him dead. There's always that possibility." Morgan says. I grab my phone, quickly hiding the fact that I'm texting Sam.
Help me. Morgan is back, and she is threatening to kill you and Dean. Cas won't come back.
"Darling, stop hiding it. Little Sammy boy can't help you, and little Cassy isn't coming back. Sorry for you kid." I wanted to hit her. I wanted to yell at her and tell her how wrong she is.
"CASTIEL, HELP ME! MORGAN CAME BACK AND SHE WON'T GO AWAY!" Morgan grabbed my throat, pushing me against the wall. I thought I heard wings, but I couldn't see. "The longer you stay, the less of yourself you become. Murdering me now will only stop your link." I started choking before Morgan let go of me and turned around.
"Don't hurt her. After all, she is the one you're trying to protect." Castiel's voice sounded like music, drifting softly into my ears as I fell to the floor. I couldn't breathe, and my hands were place on a rope around my neck. My sight was blurry, and my hope for safety was gone.
"I'll do what I want, angel boy. It's not up to you. You don't even love her anyway. Why are you saving her?" Morgan shuffled around, probably walking towards him.
"That's where you're wrong. I love her more than I could ever love myself. Now that I see it, you're not dead. You just have a way of hiding yourself. Stop tormenting her with your sick little games." A metal sound slid from Castiel's direction, and I assumed he had taken his angel blade out.
"You... don't give... someone you don't-" I coughed up the metallic liquid swishing around in my throat before continuing. "You don't love... the power to... destroy you. Morgan... I'm sorry..." My voice faded away to the point where I couldn't continue. I had lost my voice, and I was coughing up more blood, feeling the rope around my neck turn into metal wiring and cut into my skin.
"(Y/N), NO!" Morgan yelled as I felt blood pour out onto my hands. I heard her scream a blood curtling scream before her body fell to the floor. Castiel's footsteps rushed to my side.
"You'll be okay. Please, just be okay." His voice lulled me as I fell into a darkness I had felt before. I was dying, and I hoped that this would be for the last time. The world around me faded, the sounds drifting away as my head started pounding just as fast as my heart. I grabbed out to the plush penguin on my bed, clutching it tightly. Blood covered the thing.
"Good... bye, Castie-"Note: edited
