A rather dramatic chapter. Let me know your thoughts. ;) Dedicated to @liampaynepubes just because. If you are a Liam girl and you haven't gone to that profile, you aren't a Liam girl. (rated R book for all the right reasons)
Happy Reading!
Harry and I walked together, occasionally glancing up at the empty streets of London. After the dinner with the boys, we decided to stay out while they went back to the bus. We had stayed at the restaurant for a good 3 hours, laughing and eating. Eating a lot of food.
We had been walking for close to an hour, laughing and talking. There was never a silent moment, we just talked about everything. From families, to old boyfriends and girlfriends, to old best friends, the group, what we hope to happen with everything, to what we've always imagined our life like.
"So, you never really did answer me," Harry interrupted my thoughts.
"What do you mean?" I said, smiling to myself for no apparent reason. I was just happy, content with where I was at.
Harry stopped, stepping in front of me. His hand made it's may up to my chin, lifting my face to meet his eyes. The way the light caught his face cast beautiful shadows over his face. His dimple looked deeper, his cheekbones pointier, his jaw more prominent. He looked breathtaking. His eyes, greener than ever, were laced with gold.
"Will you, Kadence, be my girlfriend?"
I smiled, feeling butterflies in my stomach and a blush rise to my cheeks. "Yes, of course," I answered, smiling up at Harry. He was significantly taller than me, his body towering mine. His gentle touch on my face tightened as he leaned in.
I had kissed Harry before, the day we first met. But now it would be different, we were together. A couple. This was our first kiss being in a relationship. I watched as Harry leaned in, his lips getting closer and closer.
"Kadence Ashby Weldon!"
I jumped back, hearing someone yell my name. Harry's hand dropped from my face and he protectively gripped my waist. I looked over from where the voice had come from, seeing a figure approaching.
"Do you know how dangerous it is to be out here?" The familiar voice said, coming closer and closer. As soon as she was recognizable, Harry dropped his hands to his side.
"How did you even find me, Eliza? Not that I was hiding, but I'm just curious," I asked.
"You have a GPS in your phone. Again, do you know how dangerous it is for you to be out here? Could have at least given me a heads up! I was okay with you going out with the boys, they are trustworthy enough to allow you alone with them. But when you and fishlips here go off alone, and you don't answer your phone, me as your bodyguard get a little worried. We need to go, now. I can't lose this job and management is going to be coming by any minute." Elizabeth grabbed my arm, pulling me back the way she came.
"Fishlips, really?" Harry asked, slowly following behind us.
"Sorry, curls. But you aren't any better than Kade here. If you are going to be on my good side, you need to keep me in the loop."
"I'm sorry Eliza, I really am. I'm not used to having a bodyguard yet. I didn't even think to let you know. You have to give me time to get used to this life. Please, let Harry and I have some time."
Eliza paused in her step, side glancing towards me. "Do you promise to be safe, and if anything strange happens, you'll call me immediately?"
I nodded, her grasp still tight on my arm. "And do you promise to have her back in an hour, exactly and hour from now?"
