"It's weird, that after all this time I still haven't met your friends" I say after blowing out some smoke.

"I know, right?" He responds, seeming preoccupied for a moment. "It's just that you never got the chance to, I guess" He adds quietly.

"Yeah.." I agree. Luke and I stay silent for a moment before something clicks in my mind "Hey, now that I think about it, if you spent all your holidays in my company and I still haven't met them, that means that you never got to spend time with them on your breaks" I  deduce, frowning. I don't know if that was a statement or a question.

"Yeah, but that's okay since I get to see them all year around, anyway. Unlike with you, we hang out all the time, in and outside of University, on the school year. So when it's summer break or any other break, I prefer to spend it with you" He admits before I can see a light shade of red creep up his cheeks.

"You know," I start, patting his knee "I enjoy every second that I get to be with you." I smile; that was undeniably true. My life only changed for the better because of him.

He returns the sweet gesture, "And I'm sure you know that I feel the same way" He confesses and I smile, nodding in response.

"dude, I really hope your friends aren't some serial killers or worse, dickheads" I sigh as I keep twirling my cigarette between my index and middle finger. "What if they're in some sort of a gang? Or some of them look like crackheads? Nah, I stalk your instagram and the people that you've taken pictures with all look relatively normal." I ramble on, receiving strange looks from Luke.

"About that," He begins, glancing at me for a brief moment "Here's the little trivia that you asked for. Since we already mentioned him earlier, let's talk about Ash. he's the oldest yet acts the youngest. He's, uh, one special guy" He chuckles lightly, obviously struggling with words.

"If you could describe him in a few adjectives, what would they be?" I aske before throwing away the cigarette out of the window.

"Um, stubborn is probably the first adjective I'd use. Ashton can be sarcastic and witty, too. He has a quick temper and if I didn't know better I'd say the guy's bipolar" He says, uncomfortably whilst scratching the back of his neck.

"Then, I don't know if special is the appropriate word to use" I quote before twisting in my seat. "He doesn't seem like the type of friend you'd hang out with. So I'm assuming there's more to him then you're telling me." I remark as his head snaps towards me. I wasn't being judgmental whatsoever. I mean, I've met worse than said-Ashton, hell, I've been described as worse! I just couldn't picture someone as sweet as Luke hanging around people like that guy.

Well, he's hanging out with you, so... My subconscious reminds me and I roll my eyes at her.

"You know, even if he may not seem like it at first, Ashton has a good heart. He was always there for me and the guys, and I know that he'll always have my back, no matter what." Luke defends Ashton. He seems to really care about him, even more than he usually cares about everyone else. Luke is a sweet guy and it's easy for him to get attached to people and give them his affection. As much as it's blessing, it's  sometimes a burden, too.

"Alright, then" I sigh, putting my hands up in defense "Can you tell me about the rest?"

"Sure" He nods, sucking in a deep breath. "There's Michael, which honestly, I think you're gonna befriend right away." He smiles, probably the image of his friend popping into his mind.

"What makes you think so?" I ask as I decide that I'm gonna need another cigarette.

"the fact that both of you have a thing for dying your hair weird colors" He points out before glancing at my white hair. "And also because the way to your hearts is food"
