1Senior High! The last stage of high school life! Everyone blooms with the idea of stepping out of the 6 years high school to go to a College or a University. This part of our educational life is the most happiest and most remarkable, unforgettable part that we treasure. This is the best moment of our lives. We finally made it!
Everyone is happy, at the start of the school; new gadgets, new stories, new friends--everyone is hoping for such and everyone was excited to share.
The last stage with everyone should be happy. The last memory for the start of a new life.
I am Michael, people call me Mike and I am turning 17 this coming September. I'm 5'8", 132 pounds, and slender. I am not thin but I am not fat just normal. A normal body-form which people usually admire. I got dark brown eyes and coal black hair. I'm also excited at the thought of new life in the college; the same as the other students, stirring emotions and excitements was hidden behind my emotionless face. Yes, I am not friendly but I'm not a bad person, I am not approachable or chatty. I'm just kind of a bit nerd, I don't speak a lot, and I only ask students to ask questions about our lectures, assignments or projects. I only talk when there was a reporting project and requirements. Unlike many nerds, I don't wear glasses, my vision is 20/20 perfect and healthy. I'm not bragging myself but I got good looks, not only my parent says that but also people I met, classmates, and schoolmates. Even my reflection won't lie to me. Girls don't usually like guys like me, timid, fierce eyed, emotionless and mute yet they admire me. Who would like a guy who answers...?
Girl: What are your favorite things?
Me: Books...
Girl: I mean-- others...
Me: I like trigonometry, it's the best, try solving equations, and it does really give some prefect relaxation.Truly? I don't know what to say to them aside from where I am good at. Of course, I was dumped just in the first meeting but I don't care. I will live my life reading, writing and studying. When I reach college, I will study at the best university and get a scholarship. Then I'll do my best until I graduate then get a job and wife, help my mom, then my life is done. That's all what I want.
Everyone was busy chatting with their new seatmates or just talking about their previous years as I slid inside the room. The four cornered room where we will be studying for the whole year. I sat at the very end of the desks. I like seating at the back, it was more relaxing than in front.
No one noticed me or no one bothers to notice me. I expected that reaction. I looked at their faces; there are some new and old faces. Some are from the same room with me at freshmen year or in junior times and the others are just maybe transferees or got a high grades from the other sections and was accomplished to get here. This is the Diamond section by the way. The first section where all the smarts and clever students are caged in.
I looked over the door when a new girl student entered the room. Her face was somewhat-- not familiar. But I can say she's friendly, because as soon as she got in, she greeted everyone, she easily got their attention, some ignored her but some acknowledged her.
She sat on the desk second row from the first desk; we're separated by three desks in the middle. I scanned her face, this is so like me. Even I'm a nerd; I do feel attraction toward girls, especially the very feminine ones who acts prim and proper. I'm not going to say she's ugly but I'm not also saying she's a beauty, brunette hair and hazel eyes? She just looks fine and normal, just average. She unconsciously turn toward my direction and caught me looking. Instead of looking away, I instead arch an eyebrow which likely says "What are you looking at?" I thought she would glare at me but she smiled--a wry, unsure but very feminine smile. I was surprised, I look away. She's not a beauty but she got a very delicate, beautiful, kissable lips. I can feel my Adam's apple, moving up and down in my throat as I swallowed.
The class buzz was finally muted when a teacher emerged. She stood at the front of the lectern and introduced herself. She said that she will be our class adviser. She introduced herself as a very kind woman, but very strict and stiff. Yeah, you can see that just looking at her eyes. She looks fierce. I wonder what happens with that fierce look when she got in bed with her husband. Was she wild like that too? Nah, my head is growing up. Erased that thought. I'm at bloom puberty so I can't avoid thinking like that.
We watched her as she explained the do's and don'ts, elaborated the rules and regulations and our...purpose. She then congratulated us for finally reaching the last level of boring high school life. For me, it was boring but for some other students? No. Majority? High school is the best, as they say and we commonly hear. She gave some encouragement words before heading out. After the door closed behind her, the classroom turned back into market mode.
