Creatures in the forest are loud, with their hooting, tooting and squeaking, hiding in the vegetation of the land. I am running quickly through the forest trying to get to the shore of the west side without being seen. When I finally come to shore I see my clothes spread across the sand, I must of taken it off when I was struggling to breath. I put on my dress, gloves and crown and started to sprint towards the water.
With acknowledgement I stopped at the sea line and turn back to the forest, I run and grabbed a leaf from a tree then I sprint back to the sea letting the wave embrace me into it's clutches sending me out to sea were I felt my legs transform instantly to a tail, when I got further from the shore I could see a few heads bopping in the water I squint to see who it is: Thaliea, Serena and Adella are all out there waiting for me, I swam towards them.
"What took you so long, are you hurt!?" Adella exclaimed
"No I am fine, the transformation process took quite long, that is all."
Thaliea gave me a big hug, pulling her hair in front of her face.
"I should of never let you up here, I was apprehensively waiting for your return for ages" She said fixing my crown.
"Sorry to break your reunion guys but my party is soon ending so we need to get back down there before someone notice we are gone" Serena said looking concerned. As she began to dive underwater, I rush towards her.
"Wait, make sure you give Nabia this" I said while placing the leaf in her hand.
Serena nodded at me looking shaken as well as my friends, then we headed back to the deep sea of Mertopia in silence.
The morning light shone through my bedroom window, disrupting my sleep, I woke up with a enormous headache, I stared at my ceiling filled with starfish stuck on top. I got up slowly feeling light head and dizzy as I swam nonchalantly to my dressing table when I unravelled my hair from my plaits and placed it into a high ponytail. I turned towards my nightstand next to bed and saw a black ball resting on top, I swam to the ball and unravelled the fabric to find a shirt. Gasping I backed up on to my bed, I thought last night was a dream however I remember this shirt, and I remember wearing it and I remember him... Ezra. I stared down at the shirt and placed it on my lap and thought about our weird moment on the boat. He was not like any humans I have seen in my textbook, he didn't have dry rough skin or sharp pointy teeth he looked like a normal merperson, well from the torso and up anyway and he wants to see me on Wednesday!
"My, lady it's time to get dress for school" Oona called from outside my door.
I quickly got up and throw the black shirt under my bed and then swam over to my dressing table starting my makeup when Oona entered.
"What would you like to wear today" she sang as she throw some clothes on my bed. I picked up the green t-shirt which had a manatee on it saying 'Seaweed for life'.
"Your so quiet this morning, when you got in you didn't even tell me about Serena's party." Oona said
"It was okay, I'm just tired you know, I am all partied out"
Oona looked at me perplexed but she did not say a word as I went out my bedroom door then I saw Aza swimming up to me in a hast.
"My lady Coralia your parents are expecting you in the breakfast hall, they have been waiting patiently as you slept my lady." Aza said innocently. I looked at her angrily, then I rushed towards the hall.
"Good morning mother" "Good morning father"
My parents looked at me with anxiously, I turned to Daryah with pleading eyes but all she could do is shrug slightly.
"How was your day yesterday Coralia?" My mother asked, I knew I had to be detailed with my answer otherwise the jig will be up.
"It was so different, my manners and etiquette lesson was very astute, as we had to practice conversation with royalty and Serena's party was great, Jafar won the race with the seahorse Topaz"
Mother and Father nodded at my statement, the rest of breakfast was made with small lighthearted conversations and cheesy family remarks. Subsequently to breakfast I shellext Thaliea on my shellphone before I left my home.
Me: We need to talk urgently. I met something on the island, well. Someone.
