"I've been informed by a few sources recently, that you may know something about me. Something that everyone else knows besides me." I was facing Richard, who was tied to his desk chair. Lukas was tied up on the floor, but I didn't pay attention to him. He didn't pay much attention to me either. His focus was solely on the knife hanging by my side.
"I have a rather strong feeling that it's got something to do with my family. My real family." I wasn't completely certain about that, but I couldn't think of anything else that they would be keeping from me. It's the only thing that was significant enough to earn the status of being a secret.
At the mention of my family, Lukas snapped his head up at me, and both of them paled immediately. I guess I had my answer.
They were both fearful. As soon as they saw the knife in my hand, I had control over them. They were afraid, which meant they were weak. In my tired state, their fear and weakness were very much welcome. Now, this whole thing with my parents happened a while ago. At a time where I don't think Lukas had the motive or ability to do anything horrid to my parents. My attention and suspicion were both given fully to Richard.
From the outside, my family and the Mason's were the best of friends. Looks were very deceiving, though. Especially within the filthy rich community. Everyone wanted what everyone else had, and nothing was ever enough. However hard everyone tried, they couldn't hide the tension and the hate for each other that was deep down. So, it definitely wasn't hard to assume that Richard had done something to my parents.
"I don't know what you mean, Lily," Richard said. His tone was calm, but I wasn't stupid. I knew that he was trying to diffuse the situation, and it wasn't going to happen. "I have no reason to keep any kind of secrets from you."
I was growing tired of being told that they knew nothing. Jennifer and Lucy gave me the same result. This time, I wasn't just going to give up. If I had to torture them, I would. 'Whatever it takes' would be my motto for the night. "I know that you're hiding something from me. Lucy told me that she overheard some conversation about it. Unfortunately, I had no need for her, so I killed her."
After what I had said had fully sunk in, the look on their faces made me smirk in glee. "Oh yeah, I killed her. She didn't commit suicide. I killed Jennifer too. Slit her throat and watched her blood change the colour of her bath water. It was very exciting, and quite satisfying as well."
Richard broke down, and his head hung down low, his eyes cast down to the floor. I didn't see any tears, but I knew that there was a huge array of emotions running through him. If he weren't tied up in a chair, I'd bet that he would attack me aggressively.
"If you don't start talking and tell me whatever this secret is, I'll cut Lukas's fingers off." I held the knife tight in my hand, and crouched down behind Lukas. I used my foot to keep his hands pinned down, and he started attempting to thrash about. He was repeatedly shouting for me to stop it. "Please no!" He begged.
Despite his son pleading with him to tell me what I want to know, Richard didn't say anything. Clearly not believing that I would actually do it. He was a defiant bastard. He always has been. At times I found it amusing, due to it's similarities to a young immature child. Right now, though, it was getting on my bloody nerves. I was tired and wanted to get this over with so I could go to bed, and his behaviour was preventing that.
So, off went Lukas' pinky finger. His scream didn't deter me, and neither did the blood. Richard was clearly shocked that I had actually done it, and he was thrashing around in his chair, almost causing it to fall on top of me. "Stop it! Leave him alone!"
Once the finger was completely detached, I lifted it up and held it in front of Richards face. "If you don't start talking, this is only the first finger that is cut off. He has nine more for me to chop off." Still he didn't say anything, just stared down at Lukas apologetically. Lukas was distraught and in an immense amount of pain. I grabbed the pinky finger of his other hand and brought the knife down.
