"I just do." Kaiden smiles. That's it! It's his smile that makes me forget he's a gangleader, that gorgeous smile makes me forget he can harm me. But he won't. He's basically living to protect me -that's what my dad said anyways. You don't harm the person you're protecting, it doesn't work like that. He's meant to be saving me from this old enemy but then why am I slowly dying?

He's murderer but a hero. He's the murderer of my heart and the hero of my life.

"Earth to Sage!" Kaiden waves his hand in front of my face nearly poking my eyeballs out, I push them away.

"What happened to you? You spaced out for a second." He says, taking his jacket off.

"Nothin," I say, putting my headphones on.

The captain says a few words, the flight attendants checked in on the passengers and then in less than 20 minutes we were soaring across the sky.

"Sage! Psst Sage!" Some idiot whispers really loudly to me, I slowly open my eyes. I see a part of Rivers face. He's sitting in the seat in front of me. I don't reply to him, I'm too distracted by the fact that Kaiden's head is placed on my shoulder and his breathing is making me breathless.

"Hello! Sage?" River calls out again.

"Hmm?"

"Tell Kaiden, there's recent news about Kaiser." I nod sleepily. He turns around and gets out of his seat then walks away. Who's Kaiser?

"Kaiden? Kaiden!" I wake him up, normally I would scream at him but I'm respectful to the other passengers.

"What?" He groans lifting his head up, stretching his arms with squinted eyes.

"River told me to tell you there's some recent news about Kaiser I say quickly, Kaiden does a double take.

"K-kaiser?" He stutters.

"Yes 'K-kaiser.' " I mimic him.

"River!" Kaiden shouts out to him. He obviously has no respect for the other passengers. He gets up and walks in the opposite direction to River.

"Um Kaiden-" I call out, but before I could finish he walks in the right direction nodding his head at me.

Oh god he looks so fit...

*** 1 ½ hours later ***

"I'm so fucking hungry!" Jade whines as we get into the car.

"Oh god so am I!" I agree. I'm ecstatic to be back in my hometown but god I'm starving...

"Well next place we eat is at your place." Kaiden states getting into a car with Nick.

"That's like 20 minutes away!" Jade argues.

"How long left?" I ask the driver.

"About 5 minutes Ma'am." He answers.

"Thanks."

5 minutes until I see my family, and Kaiden's. I don't know why I have some scary ass feelings about this...

"We have arrived." The driver says, getting out. He's one of my dads worker since he has my dads logo printed on his drivers cap,

"Ah finally!" I cheer.

The car is parked outside the front door. The fountain in front of the house is exploding with water, and my nans mansion scares the fuck out of me. Don't take me wrong, the house is massive and gorgeous but it's very ancient. Very. It looks really creepy even though it's really cleaned and polished. The outside is simple, navy walls with a white roof and the massive terrace is red.
