First Day of School

(Age: 5)

"Rikey I don't wanna go." you whined to your big brother as you pulled up in front of the school.
"Come on (Y/N) you'll have a great day princess."
"But I wanna stay with you and Rossy and Rocky and Delly and Ryry." you whined as he parked the car. Riker got out as you unbuckled and pouted.
"You'll have fun." he said again opening your door. "And you'll make plenty of new friends and play on the play ground and learn to write your name and read books."
"But why can't you teach me?" you whined. "At home."
"Because you'll have more fun here." he said taking your hand and grabbing your backpack. He led you inside. You clung tightly to his hand wanting to never let go. He lead you into the classroom. You gasped. There were so many toys and books and other kids. Wow. And they all looked like they were having fun. "See princess. Kindergarten is going to be lots of fun."
"No!" you exclaimed clinging to Riker. The teacher came over and knelt down in front of you. "You must be (Y/N). I'm Miss Irwin. You're teacher. Its so nice to meet you."
"Hi" you said shyly.
"Do you want to come play with us?" Miss Irwin asked. You nodded but stayed hugging Riker's leg.
"Princess I gotta go." Riker said gently. He knelt down in front of you. "I promise I'll be back at the end of the day with Rossy and Rocky And Delly and Ryry. And if you were good for the whole day and were a big girl we'll get ice cream and go to the beach okay?"
You sniffled. "Okay Rikey." you hugged him tightly. "Love you."
"I love you too princess." he let you go and waved as he left.
"Now how about we go find something to play?" Miss Irwin said leading you toward the play area. After a while you forgot all about missing your siblings. You were having too much fun.
