Chapter 1: A New Chapter (In My Life) POV: Charlie

  Listen, I never asked to be the daughter of Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase. If you are reading this and thinking that it would be cool to be the child of two of the greatest demigods of all time, I can tell you right now you are wrong. Being a demigod (and yes I am a demigod, thank Athena for that) is hard enough, but being the child of the all powerful Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase comes with high expectations and standards. Not everyone expects greatness from me, however. Some fear that I will turn dark just like Percy did, and I can't say I blame them. I mean, Percy was a perfectly normal guy, hero in fact, and then one day he decides it would be a good idea to enslave the gods and goes through with it. Who does that? Who can just wake up and think "Gee, today I think I'll overthrow the gods, it should be fun."? Apparently my father.
I'm willingly to try to form a relationship, after all I see him everyday since he is the camp director, however I am still wary of him and have my doubts. If it weren't for me, who knows how long he would have continued his dictatorship? There are still many things about my father that I am trying to learn. The biggest one being why did he turn all dark and twisty? He claims its because he never properly grieved over my mother but I doubt thats the only reason. Many people have tragically lost loved ones and you don't see them trying to enslave and rule over humanity. I don't even know if Percy exactly knows what he turned dark, however I do intend to find. Or else I fear, I could go down the same, evil, cruel, and dark path my father stumbled upon, a path that nearly destroyed the humanity and all his good traits, a path that I might easily stumble upon as well.
