"So, what are we even suppose to be doing?" I ask Kass. "I dunno. Apparently go Northwest of Argentina" Kass replies. "Ok, but where exactly is that?" I question, becoming more and more worried. "Brazil I guess." Is all she has to say. "Alright but how will we get there?" I say as I realize there are so many hows, whats, and whys, that have still been unanswered. "I dunno, grab an Uber?" She jokes, earning an eye roll from me. "Seriously Kassidy, we are going into unknown territory that probably hasn't been populated since well, before Percy's dark age. We don't know whats there, why we are suppose to be going there, or what we need to do when we get there." I shoot back, getting aggravated. "Charlie, chill, no need to be so serious. Stop worrying about the future and what will happen or whats suppose to happen, and instead allow yourself to relax a little and just let whatever that's suppose to happen, happen. Besides, we should really get some rest." She tries to reason with me. I take a deep breathe in and out and turn to face her again, "Fine, I'll lighten up a bit, but if we get killed or harmed in any way because of us not being prepared, I will personally hunt you down." I threaten, as I lie down and fall asleep.

"Daughter of the one who was dark." Voices call to me. "Join us, go against the gods. Your father was smart when he became dark, though he was not strong enough. You are stronger, you can follow in his footsteps and do all the things he failed to do. You can force the gods to bring your mother back to life."  They try convincing me. "You-you're lying." I stutter back. "If that were true, surely Percy would have brought her back." I try reasoning with them. "Maybe you do not know your father as well as you may think. Whose to say that he could have brought her back but didn't, worried that she may not have approved of what he was doing?" They retort back, their words leaving an icy feeling in me, as I wake up, screaming.

"Charlie!" Kass yells as she runs towards me. "What's wrong?" "Nothing. Just a bad dream." I assure her. "Are you sure, because that sounded like it was more than just a bad dream." She says. "Trust me, it was nothing." I try convincing her. She seems to buy it and I get up. "Besides, we have more important things to focus on than bad dreams. We need to find food." I remind her. We start walking away from our makeshift camp and as we get further away from camp, I can't help but let my mind wander off to thinking about what the voices told me.

AN: Just to let you know, many areas of the world still aren't populated or restored to their previous state before Percy turned dark. Many of them are just wilderness. I wanted to explain this, but I didn't think it would fit in. This chapter isn't quite as good as I would like it to be, but I just got back from vacation so my minds still not quite in the writing mode, but I did want to post something for you guys to read in the meantime.
