After a while, night began to fall and Sans said, "Aye, kid? You're gonna have to go inside now. It's getting dark. And I've gotta get home." Lorn nodded and Sans walked them back to the door of the cabin. Sans leaned against the door way, Lorn already inside. Sans then said, "Hey, kid, make sure you lock the door, okay?" Lorn said, "O- okay, S- Sibby! G'n- night!" Sans said, "Night, kid." Sans then teleported back to his room, wanting to avoid Papyrus. He took off his jacket and slippers and jumped into bed, falling asleep almost instantly.

Darkness. Just... darkness. Not a sound, not a voice, not a sight, not a color; just darkness. Soon, Sans found himself staring at his hands, not remembering when he had raised them. Sans whimpered as he felt something grab his neck, but there was nothing. Sans reached for his neck but found nothing there. He choked as the feeling got tighter and tighter. But, suddenly, it stopped. Sans them felt himself begin to fall, his head going down first. Then, he landed in a pile of snow; or, at least, what looked like snow.

When Sans pushed himself up and got on his feet, he looked down at himself and realized that it wasn't snow, it was dust. Sans soul skipped a beat and it hurt horribly, like a burning in his chest. Sans quickly went to wipe the dust off of him, but it seemed like only more dust came. Sans stopped and looked at himself frantically, eye sockets wide. Then, he felt another presence with him. He looked up to see a small child in a green sweater with a single yellow stripe, brown shorts, brown shoes, light brown hair, and rosy cheeks.

This child held a knife, dust staining the blade. But what scared Sans the most was the smile this child had, grin spread ear to ear, and the child's red, beady eyes that stared into his very soul. Sans asked, "Who? Who was this?!" The child said, "It was someone you once knew." Sans gave a confused look and then the child said, "You killed him, you know." Sans asked, confused, "What? Who are you talking about?" The child chuckled demonically and said, "Him. You killed HIM. Now, you deserve to pay for what you've done."

The child chuckled again and said, "But I won't be the one to do it. It'll be from the other. He'll punish you for what you've done." Sans began to shake and he said, worried, "Who are you talking about? What do you mean 'the other' and what 'him'?! Answer me!" The child chuckled once again, the laugh now annoying Sans, and said, "Your questions may never be answered. But they might. We'll see." Sans asked, "Who are you, anyway?" The child said, "Someone the underground once called Chara."

Just as the child said their name, everything began flashing colors, making Sans dizzy. The child faded away and the colors got brighter and brighter until there was nothing but white.

Sans shot up out of his bed, left eye flaming cyan. He panted heavily as he tried to calm himself. Every one of Sans' bones were shaking frantically, making a faint clattering noise. Sans gritted his teeth together, trying to calm down. Soon, his shaking stopped and his panting was down to a minimum. He gave one last sigh before he got up and grabbed his jacket. He slipped it on and then slipped on his slippers. Then, Sans walked over to the window and looked outside; guards were patrolling the outside grounds and there seemed to be a wall built around the building that wasn't there before.

Sans sighed to himself and then tried to teleport, but something stopped him. He tried again but to no avail. Sans groaned and thought, "Must be a magic barrier. I'll have to find a way out on foot." He groaned again and mumbled, "Walking's too much work." Then, he pulled up his hood and zipped up his jacket. He then left his room, walking around the halls aimlessly, not really knowing where he was going, just out. He turned a corner and saw a few guards, so he backed up and hid behind the corner, wondering if they could led him to the exit.

He peeked around and listened in to what the guards were saying. Sans couldn't hear much besides, "King's paranoid... Finding his brother... Brother's been disappearing." Sans groaned and thought, "I can't believe that jerk would do this!" Sans left back through the hall he came from and continued to try and find the exit. Soon, Sans found a conveniently place window that was just short enough for him to climb out of; note, he's on the first floor while his room's on the second. Sans opened the window and climbed out, leaving it opened so he could get back in.

Sans then ran for the forest, suddenly getting a small burning feeling in his soul and worry in his mind. Sans kept running and running, never experiencing this much exercise in his whole life. Then, he finally saw the cabin but something was wrong; the door was wide open and the inside looked dark, Sans not being able to see inside. The burning feeling got stronger and the worry intensified. Sans whispered, "Please, be alright, kid." as he slowly made an approach to the open door.

[Sorry this one's so short. Also sorry for not updating since forever. I honestly have no excuse but laziness. If you get tired of waiting around here, you could try checking out my Fontcest one-shot book or maybe one of my other books. Thanks for all the nice words people have said, it really helps me keep this book alive. Anyway, stay fab, eat pizza, and be the potato (or banana, whichever you prefer).]

[p.s. Anyone else think of "Somebody That I Used To Know" when they read the chapter title? When I made the title, I didn't even notice until I read it about 5 times XD. Ok, I'll shut up now.]
