Winter Memories.

Chapter 8

i gigged as i tried to sit up only to be moved back down ,i looked at him as his face showed worry and sadness i looked at him with eyes of cold ice before my voice was quiet as he looked at me differently than normal

"i'll be fine with anything...thank you"

he sighed a bit before leaving me in bed to go make dinner,i laid on my bed curled up under my blanket as my thoughts battled in my head till i couldn't even focus on one thing,i felt my eyes water as i kept my breathing as straight as possible to avoid sniffing.i felt warm tears go down my cheeks as i turned so my back faced the door as tears hit the pillows and i started to sniffle.i heard the door open and immediately steadied my breathing and stayed still.i head him set down a plate then i felt the bed move as he sat down behind me and put his hand on my arm

"skyler i'm sorry..i know this is gonna be hard but i'm there with you no matter what...please look at me"

i shifted and turned to him as i knew her saw the marks my tears had left by dragging down my mascara.i closed my eyes as i felt his hand wipe the tears away before i felt his warm lips hit my cheek before i opened my eyes to see him smile like the night we met,

the following nights that week were filled with getting up at night to feed dawn,calming her crying,changing her.

"ughhh."i said with my face in the pillows

when friday came around i was tired and overworked,when jackson came home from work that night dawn was asleep and i was frantically doing dishes.i didn't look up at him tho i could feel his eyes on me as i knew he was worried about me

"sky baby please.."he said behind me

i set down what i was doing and turned to him as he hugged me kissing my forehead as i felt my tired legs shake.he lifted me up as i tried to talk being cut off by a kiss as he carried me around the house turning the lights off as he took me to our room and laid me on the bed as i clinged onto him

"i'm sorry...i know you're working hard and i know the stress is hard...i'll try to help more"he said quietly

i laid my head on him hearing his heartbeat before i felt his cold hands on my back.i looked at him and smiled as i kissed his neck softly as his hands traveled over my back before he pulled the covers over us and turned out the lights.

the next weeks went on the same every day,i stayed home to take care of dawn,he went to work

a few times my mum or his would stop by but not for long leaving me alone again,dawn slept a lot so most the time i was using the time to do other chores till the house was completely cleaned every day.but every day jackson would come home on time,he would smile and hold me close and i always felt the stress melt away.i was even more stressed out this last week tho,

"last day.."i heard him say that morning as i smiled bright

he left for his last day of work and i smiled,i knew he would have to get a new job again but for now we had bigger things,about a year ago he asked me to marry him,and this week was finally it.

everything was planed down to the smallest detail.

"finally...."i flopped on the couch as the door opened

"theres my bride to be!!!"i heard jacksons mum voice softly yet excited

i sat up and she hugged me,the wedding was two days away and she was helping me with everything while jackson was gone.she had went with me my mum and jackson's sister dress shopping tho my mum didn't like that she also didn't want to not go so she agreed,jackson's mum hugged me softly before sitting down with me

"you scared...nervous...?"she asked

"i'll be fine...everything is planned...tomorrow jackson and me spend the day together with dawn then that night he goes off with his dad and friends for their bachelor party while you girls come over here then the day begins and the rush is on"i said quickly

she looked at me worried with the same look in her eyes that jackson would give me.she smiled again and we talked till jackson came home picking me up to hug me as we said goodbye to his mum and she left.the house was completely silent as jackson held onto me with a smile across his face as he kissed my cheek and spun me around making me laugh as i held onto him.he sat me on the couch

"ima make dinner...for our last night before the wedding" he smiled

i smile and walked to the baby's room feeding her as i heard jackson struggle in the kitchen with cooking as played with dawn making her giggle and smile as her eyes shined brightly as i laid the tired little one down as she slowly fell asleep i walked out to the living room and laid down on the couch only to drift off a bit before hearing jackson say my name making me bolt up and look at the plate of food in front of me as he sat next to me putting his arm around me as i kissed his cheek
