Winter Memories.

Chapter 9

the next day i woke up to an empty bed with a box and note next to me,the note read "the guys came to get me early.i love you and will see you soon,".i smiled and opened the box and pulled out a white flower pin

"ok...let's do this" i said hopping out of bed

as soon as im out of my room theres knocks at the door as my mum and jacks mum walk in both seem happy as i hug them.im quickly grabbing m stuff while they carefully grab my dress and we load in the car

"we need to make a stop first"i say as jack mum drives me to a small house

i hop out and run to the door banging on the door.it opens and i see my same friend stare at me,she looks surprised to see me

"skyler..."her quiet voice says

"mackenzie....i know that what happened wasn't you...and i was hoping...will you come to my wedding...like right now"i say rushed

she gasp and smiles before we run to the car and get in and rush to the church were im practily draged in as my hair is done while makeup is done as they strip me down and dress me up.as this is all going on my mum gets dawn into her jumper that matches her bridesmaid dress along with my mum jacks sister and mum were my bridesmaid.

"mackenzie your dress is in the bag" i say to her

she looks at me as people rush around me before she quickly changes into her dress which is a different color than the other girls in the room

"sky why is mine different?" she said worriedly

"cause yours is a maid or honor dress not a bridesmaid one"i say thru the commotion

she looked at me as everyone moved aside,i stood infront of the mirror.my hair,makeup and dress all perfect.i heard my mum sniffle as i grabed the pin from my bag and pined it to my dress as my mum put my veil on.we heard a knock as my dad walked in

"it's time girls" he said

we all nodded as the other girls went out first with dawn in mackenzie's arms

i saw them each walk down the aisle with their partners before my dad took my arm and we heard the music start.we stepped thru the door was as everyone stood up i could hear my dad sniffle as i watched jack's youngest sister in front of me throwing petals as i stepped forward.

i got to the front and stood in front of jackson as he took hold of my hand and i saw tears in his eyes as he looked at me. the pastor started talking as our vows were exchanged.

when he asked for the rings i motioned for mackenzie to bring dawn up and when she did i took the rings out of dawn little jumper pockets as i hear "oohs" and "awws" from family as me and jackson slid our rings on each other

"you may kiss the bride!" the pastor says happily

jackson leans me back moving my veil back and kisses me passionately as i wrap my arms around his neck and kiss back as the church goes wild with clapping before jackson brings me up smiling before i'm hugged by nearly all the family making me laugh as i'm handed dawn

"hi baby girl..thanks for the help"i say as jackson smiles

"you look amazing...i mean...wow"he says wiping his eyes

i smile and hand him dawn as my mum and dad both hug me along with his parents and siblings before mackenzie holds my hand in tears as we both smile

"all grown up"she says quietly

"all thanks to you" i say before i hear jacksons mum say it's time to go to the reception

we all piled into cars and drove to the reception were the girls all changed into different dresses but me as we went inside to a huge dining room with a dancefloor and bar at the far end,we all sat down to eat as i sat at the head table with dawn and jackson along with his best friend and mine on the each end of the table

it was silent eating for about half the time before jackson stood up softly clinking his fork against his glass getting everyone's attention

"hello everyone..i have somethng to say.me and skyler didnt really start on good terms,it started with a party that at first i didnt wanna even go to and she was draged my mackenzie.but now i sit here as her husban and the father to our beautiful baby girl and im glad i met her,cause this is the best life i could ever have,skyler,dawn i love you both and will never let you go."

he said as i saw my mum and dad crying and jack's mum crying before i felt hot tears in my eyes as he sat down and put his arm around my waist and held up his glass.i did the same as did the everyone else before "cheers!"echoed the hall as we all began to drink the music started and everyone was up and dancing

skyler sat as everyone danced,she sat there in the dimmed lights as the music played but she didn't feel like doing anything,she was happy and all but she didn't like being the center of attention so she sat at the head table picking at her food till jackson sat down and put an arm around her

"skyler...what's wrong...?"he said softly

"i just...am tired"she said not wanting to sound sad

he helped her to her feet as the music slowed down and people cleared the dance floor

"may i have this dance"he asked her

she nodded and walked with him to the center and clinged to him slowly dancing as he held her close

"i'm sorry.."she said under her breath

he shook his head and put his his hand on her cheek before kissing her as the song ended.

the party went on till the last people were gone and the happy family went home.skyler was changed into pjs and put the baby to bed as she flopped on the couch tired as all hell.she felt the couch move as jackson sat with her rubbing her back.

"best day ever"he laughed a bit

skyler smiled before moving fast to pin him down while laughing

"two years down,now it's till death do we part"she said happily

"i'll love you till the day i die"he kissed her

she let her grip go as she laid on top of him slowly falling asleep
