Andy runs from his room outside to his car, locking his front door before leaving. As he drives, tears stream down his face in worry for his boyfriend.
While Andy is doing so, Joe is out the front like he told Andy, sucking on a death stick in hopes that it will relieve his stress.
All Joe has wanted for the past couple of days is to cuddle into Andy's chest, and Andy has wanted the same thing. Both of the two boys missed each other more than anything.
Andy finally arrives at Joes mom's house minutes after Joe had finished his cigarette.
Joe sees Andy pull up and runs down the front steps and into Andy's arms as he exits the car.
"Andy!" Joe screams in excitement, wrapping all four limbs around Andy's upper body.
Andy is speechless so he just hugs back and buries his head into Joes neck, letting a single tear slip down his face.
"I was so worried," Andy mumbled into Joes shoulder. "I couldn't help but think you were going to hurt yourself."
Joe tightens his grip around Andy, giving Andy the slightest struggle with breathing. Andy let's another tear fall down his cheek at the thought of Joe in pain.
"Let's go inside," Joe smiles, jumping off of Andy and intertwining their fingers in exchange.
Joe leads Andy inside to his bedroom but is stopped by his step father, Mark.
Joe hates Mark. He hates everything about him. He hates the fact that he's replaced his father. The fact that he shares his middle name. The fact that he changed his mother's last name from Trohman to Hoppus. There isn't a single thing Joe likes about him.
"Who's this?" Mark asks, a look of disgust evident in his facial features.
"My best friend, Andy." Joe replies, not wanting anyone to know they're dating just yet.
Mark looks at Andy with a snarl upon his lips. Andy frowns, and looks down.
"He looks like a faggot." Mark chuckles, insulting Andy.
Andy takes a step back, trying to hide his face. Joe looks at Andy and sees how obviously hurt he is.
Joe hates it when Andy is hurt or upset. He hates it more when he knows the person who made him feel that way. But he absolutely despises it when that person who made Andy feel that way is the only person he hates more than himself.
"And you look like a washed up old man! Have you looked in a mirror lately? You look like a fucking male prostitute half of the fucking time! How about instead of talking shit about my friends, you fucking leave. This is my mother's house, and this is the house I grew up in! You don't have the authority required to make my best friend feel like shit, so how about you walk out that fucking door and go fuck the closest dog you can find! Hop up their ass, Hoppus!"
Everyone and thing went silent. Mark stood there, jaw hanging. Andy was lightly laughing behind him as Mark processes what just happened. Joe grabs Andy by the wrist and leads him upstairs to his bedroom, locking the door behind them.
As soon as the door is locked and shut, Andy wraps his arms around Joes hips, lightly kissing him. Joe kisses back as a tear falls down his cheek.
Joe leads Andy to the bed, as they lay down. Joe rests his head on Andy's chest as Andy gently caresses Joes back.
"Talk to me, baby." Andy pleads.
Joe let's out a shaky breath as he pours out all of his emotional struggles out to Andy. By the end, Joe was an absolute mess. Tears were coming out of his eyes at an uncontrollable rate.
Andy was doing all he could to calm Joe down, but nothing was working. As Andy was thinking of ways to calm Joe down, he was simply rubbing his back, kissing his forehead and whispering "it'll be okay, baby".
"Joe, listen to me, okay?" Andy asked for Joes attention.
They both sat up as Joe nodded his head. Joes glassy orbs stared directly into Andy's mesmerizing ones. Andy wiped his thumbs over Joes tear stained cheeks and tear soaked eyes, kissing his nose after doing so.
"I know everything seems like a lot right now, and it seems like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders, but this is only now. Now doesn't last forever. I promise that as soon as you come home, I'll be waiting and I'll try my hardest to make everything okay. I mean, I know that I'm only one person, but I can try to make it better. And I don't know if I've said this yet, but I'm in love with you. I'm head over heels in love with you. You mean absolutely everything to me, baby. I'm gonna make everything better. I love you."
Joe stopped crying as Andy spoke. Just Andy's voice alone is enough to fix all of his problems.
Joe leans forward, closes his eyes, and collides his soft, pink lips with Andy's own lush ones. Andy opens his mouth, allowing Joe to intertwine their tongues together.
Just as they break the kiss, they hear a knock at the door.
"Andy has to leave!" They hear Mark call through the door.
Joe and Andy look at each other and share a frown. They don't want to leave each other, but sadly, they have no choice.
Andy and Joe share one last kiss as they stand from the bed and walk to the door.
"Joe, you have to stay." Mark demands.
"I'm walking him out," Joe retorts. "And I don't have to listen to you. You're not my dad, and I'm an adult. Fuck off."
Joe and Andy walk outside to Andy's car. A tear slips down the both of their cheeks as they say their farewells.
"I love you, baby." Joe chokes.
"Don't cry, Joey," Andy pleads. "I'll be at home waiting for you."
Joe and Andy share one quick kiss as Joe shuts the car door, and waves Andy good bye.
"I love you," Joe mutters, waking inside.
