~ if you hadn't notices last chapter, I had mixed up AJay's name to Angel. 🙄 But, it's actually A'Jay. I think I fixed it though.
Remy's POV
As time passed, I began to feel more and more like my old self. I was eating normally again, and I began laughing once more.
I almost had forgot about Chance except for the pain in my chest every time I'd hear her name.
A'Jay was super helpful, patiently supporting me as I healed. She my left hand, she my go-to, and I'm glad I have her.
"Stop moving," A'Jay chuckled as she readied the dye in a bowl provided with the packaging.
I laughed before I took a deep breath, "Alright, alright, I'm good. Just do it!"
She took a section of my hair with her gloves and began to apply the dye and I inwardly cringed, "Holy shit."
She laughed before saying, "Aye, we don't worship shit up in this house!"
We joked the entire time until she finished. She left the dye in my hair for about 30-45 minutes and let it rest until necessary. Wiping off the bits of excess dye she got on my face and I purposely got some of the coloring on her. We got cleaned up eventually, and she rinsed my hair.
It was the best feeling in the world.
"Pick a movie," A'Jay instructed me after bringing some popcorn to the coffee table. I finished wrapping my hair up in a towel when she sat down beside me.
"I don't care A'Jay, you pick." I debate.
She thought hard before picking IP Man off Netflix. "This probably the best decision I've ever made," she laughs.
"Wait, ain't this about Bruce Lee's trainer?!" I ask, hyped up instantly.
"Watch and see yo'self," she says as the movie began and I rest my face in a pout.
She looks over at my face and rolls her eyes, "Yeah! A'ight? It's about his damn trainer, but don't ask me no-mo questions throughout this movie or–," she started.
"Yeah! I gotcha," I cheered satisfied with myself before laughing as the opening music played and the credits rolled in.
"Really missed that laugh," A'Jay said, catching me off guard and I smiled.
