"They were attacked "
My mind couldn't register what he was saying.
An attack ?
That's impossible we are one of the most feared packs in America.
The last time we got attacked was also the first.
I still remember the voices through the mind link, the orders I gave and the continuing nagging in my chest that something could go wrong.
*FLASH BACK*
"Alpha, we have taken down the intruders from the east side of the borders." One of my best trackers Alistair informed me.
"Good job Alistair. " Before I could continue a voice that I knew mind linked me .
"Dean, Cara, Marcus and I took care of the intruders in the southern borders."
"And we did a good job" Cara's cherry voice informed me. That girl is something else.
"Good Sam. What about Alex and Lucas?"
"I heard my name. Don't worry big bro things are under control."
"I'm counting on your word baby sister."
"Well you should count at my word to I'm your Gamma."
"Sorry Lucas I forgot about you"
"Inform everyone to gather at the pack house."
Before I could close the mind link I heard Jon's voice.
"You do understand you forgot about me?"
"And there is the annoying nagging I missed so much."
"Does that make me your favourite?"
"No"
Everyone started laughing.
"But" before Jon could start annoying me once against I put of the mind link.
I was told that everything was okay and the rogues that intruded our territory have been captured or are dead.
I wanted to give them a chance for a true pack and family.
Yet that unselting feeling that I had since this morning makes me more cautious about our rogue problem.
I run faster so I could finally go to the safe house and take my beautiful mate and baby daughter.
When I finally caught sight of them something in me woke up.
I turned back to my human form and put on the sweatpants Daneel gave me.
