How To Train Your Dragon

Chapter 2

~5 Weeks Later~

     While I was walking along with Sap (Sapphire is her real name I call her Sap for short) we were discussing what we would use for her saddle (considering I can make one). We went through TEN  different ideas but they were all thrown out because she said they would make her scales itch. Sap looks up all of a sudden making me jump. "Wants wrong girl?" I ask her staring at her with curiosity. "Cow. I smell cow. . ." she pauses and I hear a twig snap a couple yards in front of us. She jumps up in the nearest tree while I jump to the bushes. "What about cow?" I whisper. I can feel her irritation through her thoughts "Of all things your only interested in cows?" she snorts. I giggle which was a stupid idea because while I was whispering to Sap the figure that had snapped the twig had come behind me without me noticing. "BEHIND YOU RUST PULL OUT YOUR SWORD!" As soon as I felt the panic rising in her thoughts I instantly have my dagger pointed at a girl's throat (who looked about my age) frightened to the core. "Who are you?" I demand threateningly pushing the dagger a little closer to her neck showing I meant business. She gulps while I size her up. "She is mainly skin and bones." I think. I flick my hand in a series of movements behind my back telling Sap to circle behind the girl also asking her judgment on if I should slice her throat or not. "I said what is your name!" I speak again stepping forward forcing her a step back almost into a bunch of thorns. She squeaked "M-My n-name is Bri. Please don't kill me." I narrow my eyes in suspicion "Who sent you?" she replied"No one.". I confused her by saying "Sap now!". "Sa-" she was cut off by a growl when Sapphire landed behind her. "Should we kill her now or leave her girl?" 'Bri' looked shocked and spoke up "Please don't kill me or leave me. . . I was hoping to find a village but I got lost. . . Is 'Sap' your helper?" she froze as Sap snorted and muttered (only I can understand her) "Hardly." I laughed "NO! Since when would ANY dragon be a helper of a human. More like partners or the human would be the helper." I nodded at the end of my sentence. I lowered my sword a little and yelped as Bri pushed my it out of the way and jumped on me. She took my sword and put it close to my neck. I hear Sap say "Roar. Don't ask questions just roar like I do when I am mad. Breath deep and let the dragon inside you roar.". I was confused by 'The dragon inside you' but I did as Sap said. I took a deep breath thought about how she roars when she is mad and 'let it lose'. . . "AAAHHHHRRRRRR!!". . .
