How To Train Your Dragon

Chapter 4

RUST'S P.O.V

     I feel the knife drop and hear the girl named Bri stumbling away. I jump up and hear many wing flaps, it was like all of my senses were enhanced. I go for my knife knowing I only have a few moments and turn to the girl, "If anyone asks about me or what happened don't tell them anything! Do you understand?" The girl nods and I let her run off. I run to Sap and I get on her back. 

     Within moments we were above the trees and I see five dragons coming for us, "Fly, girl! HURRY!" I yell when the dragons fly towards us faster. I look back I nearly fall off Sap's back when I see six people on the dragons, I hear them yelling too. Sap flies as fast as she can but she is hurt, I can hear her hissing in pain and realize that it's her wing that hurting her. I look back to see that the dragons and their riders are several feet closer. "We have to lose them, Sap." I say and she responds with a grunt of pain, "I know, but how?". "I have a plan but even though I know you won't like it I am NOT letting them get you! So you're going with it even if you don't want to!" I say and she sighs but responds with an 'OK'. I tell her the plan and she grunts in disapproval.
     Sap flies straight at the riders and dragons as I pull out my knife, they all looked surprised and I see a blonde on a Deadly Nadder pull out an axe at the ready for attacking. We fly to the back of the group and I see a boy on the back of a Gronckle and pat Sap on the neck. She flies closer and the rest of the riders turn around not knowing what I was about to do. . . I jump up on Sap then jump at the boy and push him off the Gronckle before anyone has time to react I jump to the Hideous Zippleback and cut the saddle straps that hold on a boy and a girl then push them off. I run up one of the dragons neck and take a flying leap to the Monstrous Nightmare and block the blow the boy took at me and cut the saddle straps and push him off too. Then jump down to the nearest tree and climb/fall down though the branches, I started to run away as fast as I could when I hit the ground. While all this was happening Sap flew away and hid, also after I pushed those riders off the dragons flew after them. I am running out of breathe when I see the spikes of a Deadly Nadder hit the tree next to me, I turn right and keep running, a plasma blast hits next to my head this time but I don't risk looking back in case I trip. I run straight into a clearing and meet the Monstrous Nightmare and his rider in front of me looking beyond mad, I turn to my left and see the Gronckle and her rider, I turn to my right and see the Hideous Zippleback and its riders. I decide to take my chances with the boy and the Gronckle, but when I turn back the girl with the Deadly Nadder was with the boy and the Gronckle, I turn around and see a boy with a Night Fury and pull out my knife ready to fight them all till I am sure Sap is safely far away. The boy opens his mouth and starts to talk but I don't want to give him a chance. I mean to say 'Stop' but I end up roaring again, I keep a straight face so they don't see how surprised I really am while they don't bother keeping their mouths from falling open. I start to make a run for it but the Night Fury roars at me so I stop and roar back. Suddenly I hear the Night Fury speak in a commanding voice, "Stop! My name is Toothless and I am the Alpha of all dragons! I can feel the aura of dragon within you, I know you feel the urge to do. . ." He hesitates,"as I say!" and he was right I felt the urge to bow to him but instead I just roared again at him then kept walking. Toothless roared at me again and the dragon in me (for I felt it now) took over my body. I threw my knife down and walking right up to Toothless and stood over him and roared a challenge to him. He straightened up where he was so he was at my level and roared back. We each roared back and forth at each other a few more times before I bowed to him. I was only then aware of the other dragons and the riders when I heard someone gasp, then everything went black as I feinted.
