*tyler's pov*

t: josh, the sun is rising here. i'm tired.

i groan sleepily. my eyelids are full of lead and i struggle to keep them up.

j: don't goo.

i do love talking to him. he's so cute when he's sleepy.

t: josh, you're yawning all over the place.

j: shh. i'm fine. he says through a yawn and smiles cheerfully.

silence sits in the air for a moment as josh starts to stare.

t: j?

he jumps a bit.

j: huh? oh, sorry.

t: what's up?

j: i can't believe you like me too.

i can feel my cheeks turning red as i tilt my head down a bit in embarrassment.

t: i can't believe you like me.

josh rubs his face and giggles. i can't help but smile at it.

j: i've never had a crush on someone like this.

my cheeks are probably a crimson tone by now. i look down, attempting to hide the 10 mile wide grin on my face.

j: don't look down. i love your smile.

i look up slowly to see josh staring thoughtfully at me. it's as if he's studying my face; trying to memorize every detail.

*josh's pov*

i stare at his face, studying it as if it's gonna change if i look away. it sounds creepy but there are so many beautiful details that i don't think tyler even knows exist.

t: josh?

j: huh? sorry i keep staring. haha

he cackles. t: it's alright.

j: so how's the ukulele going? have you written any songs lately?

tyler's face goes pale and he looks down.

t: y..yea i uh..i actually wrote a song on the ukulele.

i gasp softly.

j: play it for me!!

tyler shakes his head. t: it's stupid.

j: i beg to differ. show me.

tyler stares at me for a moment, looking slightly hesitant.

t: promise not to make fun of it?

i smile softly. j: i promise babe.

i see tyler shiver ever so slightly when i see that. he sighs deeply and nods.

t: alright, let me get it.

i nod patiently. a few moments later, he comes back into frame with his ukulele in hand.

j: yay! i clap a few times before settling in my criss-cross position.

he strums a few times, checking the tuning. as he adjusts the knobs, his eyes flick to me every few seconds. i can tell he's nervous.
