It had taken Pidge almost a month to find Hunk after the Paladins were all separated in the wormhole. Together, they had wreaked havoc upon the nearby Galra base. Today they were taking a break. Pidge was working on Green and Hunk was scanning frequencies to find the others. Suddenly, Hunk shouted out and turned up the volume on the scanner. "Pidge, you've gotta hear this, buddy!"

'We have captured the red paladin, Lady Haggar.'

'Excellent. The rest of the Druids will be so pleased to have it back. K-TH76 had interesting side-effects that could be beneficial to the empire. Send him to me on your first available ship.'

'Of course, Lady Haggar.'

Pidge was pale. They couldn't believe it.

"They got Keith," they said. "The Galra captured Keith. Wait, what was that name that Haggar person called him?" "Uh," Hunk tapped his chin, trying to remember. "K-TH76 I think. Why would she call him that?"

Pidge shrugged their shoulders, bewildered. "Did you manage to find anything else?" Hunk opened his mouth to reply when another voice came through.

"Paladins," Allura's voice called, staticky through the scanner. "Can you hear me?"

"Yes, princess," Hunk shouted.
"Took you guys long enough," they heard Lance's voice say hoarsely.
"Quiet Lance," they heard Shiro scold.
"Where are you princess?"

"Coran and I are back on Arus," she replied. "I'm going to open a wormhole for you to go through. I'll have to do it one at a time since you are all so scattered."

The Paladins let out a multitude of affirmatives before Lance asked, "Where's Keith? I don't hear mullet head on the frequency."

"Hunk and I just heard on a galra frequency that he got captured. They are taking him to someone called Haggar and the Druids," Pidge explained. "They mentioned something called K-TH76."

"They're taking him to the Druids?" Shiro asked shakily.

Keith sat drugged and tied up on a galra cargo ship. He was trapped in the familiar sight of the type of caged used on earth to transport large animals. The shaking wouldn't stop, not since they had called him that horrible name, K-TH76. Like he wasn't a thinking person, just an animal, like cattle. He even had a brand on his neck beneath the mullet.

His name is Keith! That was his name!
A galra leaned down to peer inside his cage with a grin. "Well, aren't you a fascinating little thing," he said, "I wonder. Can you sense what I want to do to you like the druid's notes said you could?"

He banged loudly on the cage and Keith jumped back in fear as the feelings of malice were practically shouted at him. This guy wanted to rip him to pieces.

The Galra laughed coldly at him. "Take it away," he said to the robots that Keith hadn't heard come in, and they lifted up the cage onto a hover craft to push into the familiar den of what he now knew were the Galrian Druids.

"Take him to lab seven," said a woman in a robe. "We wish to get started immediately."

In response, Keith curled into himself tighter.

All of the paladins save for Keith were gathered together in the castles main room.

"We managed to get these files off of the computer," Pidge said as they plugged themself into the computer. "They have information on Keith's capture and K-TH76."

K-TH76

Name:N/A

Age received: week five of womb development

Summary: Our Terran allies sent us the fetus after it was removed from his under aged mother. We are told that she received a large sum of a million earth dollars. The experiments began with injections of DNA from a few other races in the galaxy, as the undeveloped fetus could assimilate to the DNA as it created its own structure. After birth, it was moved to a small cage. The sentinel on duty gave it regular feeding, preventing it from attaching to any living organism. It did eventually imprint on such sentinel making it necessary for it to be destroyed in front of K-TH76, in order to scare it from further attachment....

It just kept going. Describing horrific experiment after horrific experiment, it scared them all as they began to piece together that this was Keith being described in the file.

"We need to get him out," was all Shiro could say.

No one said otherwise. They were too focused on the attached picture of terrified child of four with scraggly, bloodstained hair, covered by dirty rags that could barely be considered clothes.

Keith cradled his hand to his chest. He shouldn't have bitten that woman. Now he had a shunt in his hand to make blood taking easier. His whole body burned from the hours he had spent on that treadmill until he couldn't get up, no matter how many times they tased him.

He snarled at the assistant that came towards his cage, pushing a cart with a tray of needles on it.

"Oh, shut up," they snarled back as they shook the cage before opening it.
He pressed himself to the back of the cage, still snarling. The assistant gritted their teeth and pressed a button on the pad on their wrist. Instantly, the small wrist cuffs and collar activated, and Keith's head bent at an awkward angle as it was magnetically attached to the ceiling of the cage. His hands attached themselves to the metal pole that the assistant held out in front of him.
He stabbed the first needle into the shunt and took a lot of blood. Then, he began the other injections.Keith felt woozy and tired.

"There, that wasn't so bad," the assistant said with a fake grin. "Now be a good dog and stay."

They laughed and slammed the cage shut. They deactivated the collar and cuffs as they walked away, and Keith dropped to the floor. He couldn't fall asleep. Who knows what they might do to...him...so tired...have...to...sta... The world went black.

He really didn't know how long he had been screaming. In fact, he was surprised his vocal chords hadn't given out. They wanted to really test his ability to heal. There was something like a centipede in his head.
...help...someone...anyone....HELP!!

K-TH76 struggled in his bonds before finally snapping them. Snarling, he launched himself at the nearest person.

Blood sprayed everywhere as a head fell to the floor without its body. He moved to the next assistant, and the next until all that remained in the room was a few bloody piles of limbs and a dead 'centipede' as he rocked back and forth, muttering to himself.

Keith was hiding now. He'd be back later. For now he was going to play again. He reached out a hand and began to draw patterns in the blood as his brain healed itself rapidly.

Lance sat reading the file. He couldn't stop thinking about it. It listed the ability that Keith had been given by this combined DNA that the Druids had paid the most attention to. His ability to heal. There were hundreds of experiments geared toward this. One such experiment had Hunk barfing before the end and Allura leaving the room.

It was a video attachment as well. Reading about it was one thing but seeing the fear and hearing the pleading screams was another. They forced a rat into a box and, using smoke and heat, had the rat fearfully burrow through the five year old's stomach. Shiro couldn't even stay for reading any of the file.

Lance had come to a decision that he would try to help Keith. It was obvious from this why his social skills were null. He would be teaching him how to have fun, laugh, and smile more often. He just hoped they would get there in time.
