Lance stared at the pod Keith lay in. It had been two days and the pod was still working to repair the damage. "Lance," Shiro said from behind him putting a hand on his shoulder. "You should come eat and maybe rest. You have been here for hours."
Lance didn't look away from the pod as he replied, "I don't want to leave them alone to wake up." He put a hand to the pod's clear surface. Shiro put a hand on his shoulder.
"Okay," he said before pulling away. "I'll tell Hunk to save you some space goo." He gave Lance a final pat on the shoulder before walking away. Lance went back to staring at the seemingly peaceful face of Keith in the pod.
"Get well soon mullet head."
Keith came around falling out of the pod only to be caught by lanky arms. He looked up with confused eyes. "Lance," he asked before reaching up to rub at his crusty feeling eyes. "How long was I out?"
"A few weeks," Lance said looking him over. He still looked pale and was trembling slightly. "K freaked out pretty bad when we put him in the pod. Is he okay as well?"
Keith rubbed at one of his eyes before looking at him in confusion. "Who's K?"
----------------------------------------------
Keith sat eating at the table as the rest of the team, excluding Coran and Allura who were gently conversing with Keith, discussed in the hall what Lance had heard Keith say. "You mean he doesn't remember at all," Hunk asked.
"Yeah," Lance said with a nod glancing into the dining room with concern. "He just thinks he was trapped in a cell for all that time. He didn't remember anything that I hinted at."
Shiro rubbed his face with a groan. "This isn't a good thing," he said. "Forgetting trauma like that isn't good for you at all. We need to find out if K is still active enough to have done this."
Pidge made a h'mming sound. "I could maybe use Allura's meditation exercise to try and talk to him," they said. As that was about the only plan they could all come up with they went with it.
Later Keith was sitting with all of his fellow team mates wearing the mind helmet. He felt so relaxed as they meditated and his vision started to get kinda blurry as the whole world slowly faded out.
K glanced at Keith's friends with a growl and a smirk. "So," he said. "I'm sure you called this meeting because of a lack of knowledge on Keith's part." He stared them down. "I was created so one of us wouldn't have to remember what those monsters did. I'll do what my creation demands until Keith no longer requires me." He glances down at the still pale and slightly weak looking hands. "I don't think that will be anytime soon though."
