Beauty Killed The Beast

Chapter 14

*3rd Person POV*

The orchestra sounded for the cue that the show was starting. The whole theater was packed to see the magnificent creature that was discovered, by a mere movie director. The spotlight shone as Loke walked onto the stage, being given a large round of applause. The orchestra seized when Loke was centered staged. The light still shone directly at him. Loke raised his hand to signal the audience to quiet down. "Welcome, and good evening." he said, out loud. "I welcome you to a night that none of you will ever forget." 

The audience clapped as Loke spoke. He was filled with great enthusiasm. "Tonight, you are here to witness, one of the greatest discoveries of man! A creature that appeared because I decided to take my crew to film on an island of mystery! Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you...Metalicana! The New Wonder of the World!" He said, walking to the side. The red curtain withdrew from its released stage, and behind it, revealed the might Iron Dragon, Metalicana. 

The audience applauded once more. Spotlights shone on Metalicana. Metalicana was down in a giant cage, and help in giant chrome steel restraints. He looked miserable. He might've been sad about not seeing his maiden. "Ladies and gentlemen. This dragon is no robot. It is a living creature. One of blood and pure iron scales. I know, I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw him either."

A laughter erupted from the crowd. "And now ladies and gentlemen, I would like to tell you a story. A story that sounds unbelievable, like Metalicana, but is a real as the moon in the sky tonight. 

"This is a story about a movie team, with a tech crew, actors, a screen writer, and not to mention a very handsome director." A fan of girls fawned over that comment. "But on the team's first day, they were ambushed by a group of natives to the island, where they kidnapped the lead actress, and offered her as a sacrifice to the mighty Metalicana. 

"And today, I have invited that same actress to join me on stage, as well as the man who rescued her from the dragon. I present to you, the bravest woman I have ever met, as well as the most unexpected person you would think would have saved her: Miss Levy McGarden and Mr. Gajeel Redfox!"

As the crowd applauded, Gajeel and Levy both walked out onto the stage. Levy's white dress glittered in the spotlight. Levy was were a very warm fake smile. The smile almost looked too real, but inside she was very nervous. Not only was she putting on a show for the directors Loke had invited for them to think about Levy being in part of Broadway shows, but she was on stage with Metalicana. 

Metalicana had caught sight of Levy, and could hardly believe that it was the same girl offered to him some time ago back on that island. "Gajeel, if I may ask..." Loke started, catching the two off guard. "What drew you to saving Miss McGarden? Did you two have any connections with each other?"

"Loke, I was driven for how there is no other girl like her, and I was very satisfied to have met her. So I couldn't let Metalicana take her from me." Gajeel answered. The room was filled with 'awws' and the feeling of love for the couple. 

"And now Levy, I would like you to tell us how you felt during your captivity. You must've been petrified with fear." Loke said. 

Levy was quiet at first, then she looked at him and nodded. "I was in the beginning. When my wrists were bound in the tight vines, on that altar. I mean, Metalicana is a fifty foot dragon. I was surrounded my natives who didn't speak our language, expect the chief who spoke small, broken portions of our language. I was very frightened. But during it all, it slowly softened."

"And what do you mean by softened?" Loke asked. 

"Well..." Levy started before the paparazzi and newspaper photographers started taking pictures, causing the camera's flashes to go off. Metalicana, was terrified of the sudden lights, and roared angrily, while banging on the bars of the giant cage. 

The crowd became scared and nervous that the dragon will escape, but Loke quickly came up with an excuse to keep them there. "Ladies and gentlemen, you are all perfectly safe. That is an escape proof cage, and those restraints are made of the strongest material." he said. 

He was shortly cut off by the sound of crunching metal, and squeaking of cage bars. Everybody looked at Metalicana. He was chewing on the chains of the restraints, and the bars were cut in half, very smoothly. The crowd immediately, screamed and started to evacuate the building. 

Levy just stood there. Fear had taken over her again, but not the same fear she felt back when she was the offering, but a fear that New York was going to go through terror like nobody has ever seen before. She was quickly drawn back into reality by Gajeel, who took her hand and they ran out of the building. 

"Gajeel, I knew this was a bad idea from the start. We have to find a way to stop this." she said, as they ran back towards Gajeel's apartment. Gajeel lead her into the main room, where he sat her on the couch. "Shrimp, look, you have already been through enough these past few weeks, but you are going to hafta trust me when I tell you that we are just going to have to trust the military now."

"Gajeel, they are going to kill him. He's an innocent creature, and he needs to go back to his island, where he can live happily." Levy pleaded with him. 

Gajeel held her small soft hand in one of his and stroked her loose bangs with the other. "Listen, I can't lose you again." He said. Suddenly, a roar was heard, and the two lookedout of the window, to find Metalicana's eye looking right into the room. Gajeel, stood right in front of Levy, only to have his window broken and him flicked to the side, hitting his head onto the table edge, and knocking him out cold. 

"Gajeel!" Levy cried out, but just as soon as she was about to reach him, she was grabbed by a giant, cold metal hand. She was pulled out of the building, and drawn closer to the iron scaled reptilian. 

Once again, Levy had been taken by Metalicana.

Hey guys! Sorry about the late update! Once again, I have been given crazy hours, and a ton of school work. But, we are drawing to a close on this book, and then I can start a new fanfiction!

I will try to update as much as I can before the end of this month. I will have time this week so no need to worry.
