"Hey, jacky," Ian said. (Yes, jacky is my nickname) "hey, Ian," I said. "Hey guys!" Marcus said running towards us. We were meeting after school for football practice. "Hello," said Jason coming up beside me. "Heya!" Jake said slapping me on the back. "I'm here!" Ryan said jumping on jake's back causing them both to fall over laughing. They get up still laughing. "Don't leave to practice without me!" Said chase running up to the group. Then we headed off to practice. A ton of people said hi to us on the way. We were popular. I was popular because of my friend group. My friend group are all really hot and are football players. They are also boys but that doesn't really had anything to do with popularness. A lot of the girls thought I am really weird because of how tomboyish I am. Most of the people that say hello to me that I don't know very well are boys. I go to the girls locker room to change and the rest of my friend group goes to the boys locker to change. After we are done we meet up to go to practice. Practice is going well until someone hurts my ankle by accident. "Ow!" I cry. I am about cry. But I didn't. My whole team rushes to me all saying are you ok, jacky! And I would answer with a fine even though in not fine. The coach comes asking me where it hurts. I pointed to the right side of my right ankle. Then coach asked Chase and Ryan to help me to the nurses office. I placed one arm on each of their shoulders. The nurse said I sprained my ankle and she put a bandage on it and gave me some crutches. "How much longer until I can play football again?" I ask desperately. "5 days," the nurse said. I groan. Five days! That is way to long! I couldn't help a tear from falling down my face. Chase pulled me into a hug and Ryan rubbed my back. I couldn't help myself from sobbing. I sobbed into chase's chest. "It's not that long," chase said. "It is to me!" I cry muffled from my face being dig into chase's shirt. Then I picked my crutches, wiped my face, and headed off to football practice just to sit on the bleachers. Chase and Ryan followed. I knew how to use crutches because I had broken my leg is 6th grade. I sat on the bleachers while my team played. How I wish I was out on the field. I sighed. Mom picked me up after football practice. "Oh sweetie! What happened?!" Mom said as I shuffled into the car placing my crutches in the other side of the row. "I sprained it," I grumbled. I was not in a good mood. "Oh honey. I'm so sorry," mom said. At home I clomped up the stairs with my crutches. My twin sister, elaina, was on the couch doing her nails. Unlike me, Elaina was like other girls our age. Elaina is obsessed with doing her nails, fashion, hair, and makeup. I am not obsessed with that at all. Elaina smirks when she sees me. "Can't play football for a while," Elaina said to me. "Shut up," I mumble. She giggles. I clomp into my blue walled room and mom comes I my room a minute later. "Ice your ankle, baby," mom said to me. "Thanks mom," I said taking the ice pack from her hand and unwrapping my ankle. I placed the cold ice on my ankle. I fall down on my bed and groan. I can't believe I have to kiss so much practice! Ok so its not that much practice. Why was I making such s big deal about this? I just need to calm down. Three days later I was able to walk on my sprained ankle but I still wasn't able to play football. I was still sitting on the steaming hot metal bleachers watching practice wishing i was out there.
