12. Telling Brandon

Luke and Carter got back not long after we all planned about Lexy and Luke.

They both walked in the house, and I walked up to Brandon.

"Hey Brandon, I need to talk with you, bro."

"Alright." He said.

We went up to his room.

We both sat on his bed.

"Okay, I can trust you, right?" I asked.

"Of course." He said.

"Can you keep a secret?" I asked.

"Yeah! I haven't told anyone that you still dream about your ex." He said.

"Shhh!" I said.

He chuckled "So?"
"Well, you love Lexy right?" I asked.

"Yeah, but not like boyfriend and girlfriend love her." He said.

"Yeah, love her like family?" I asked.

"Yep." He said.

"Okay, well when you and Carter left, Lexy was talking with us." I said.

"What about?" He asked.

"Well, this morning, I asked her why she wasn't asleep on the couch." I began.

"She wasn't on the couch when you woke up?" He asked.

I shook my head. "She said she got cold."

"I told her to call me if she gets too cold." He said.

I shrugged "I guess she didn't want to bother you. She said that she slept with Luke."

Brandon's eyes got wide "Are you serious???"

"Not like sex slept." I said.

"Oh." He sighed in relief.

I chuckled.

"Okay, and?" He said.

"And, she and Luke talked this morning. Luke was asking her if she really loved Carter." I said.

"What'd she say?" He asked.

"She said kind of." I said.

"Why?" He asked.

"He sometimes scares her." I said.

"True. Anyways, then what happened?" He asked.

"They agreed they both will date." I said.

His eyes grew wide again. "And you guys agreed?"

I nodded.

"I hate to rain on your parade, but that's not a good idea." He said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because. Carter really loves her. He kidnapped her to be with her." He said. "And if she breaks up with him, and goes to Luke, he won't be happy."

"But that's what I'm saying, we're not going to tell Carter." I said.

"We're not?" He asked confused.

"No, she's still going to 'date' Carter, and when he leaves or they both leave, they'll be all holding hands and being all couple like." I said.

"Oh. Isn't that cheating, though?" He asked.

"It's not if she doesn't love Carter. She's just dating him so she wouldn't get hurt." I said.

"Oh." He said.

"Are you in?" I asked.

"Yeah." He said.

"Great! Just don't tell Carter." I said.

He nodded.

We both stood up and walked out of his room, back downstairs.

We saw Dylan, Ty, Luke, and Alexis.

"Where's Carter?" I whispered.

"In the shower." Alexis said.

"I told Brandon, he's in." I said.

They all looked at Brandon, and he nodded.

"Okay, well this won't be easy, but we can do this." I said.
