Alistair's POV

Well, the 'meeting' with Delia Bluerose went on quite well yesterday. Better than I expected it to be. I'm walking down the silent but busy streets with the chilly night wind blowing my body as I mess up my hair with my hand. Lucky me, vampires love the cold.

I pull my hood over my head and shove my hands into the pockets when my phone rings. I pull it out of my pocket answering the damn thing.

"What is it Javier?"

"Al! Where are you man, I thought you'd be here an hour ago." Javier's kind-of-scratchy voice that he thinks girls love roared through my phone.

"Huh? What do you mean 'here'?" I ask in a bitter tone.

"Holy crap, I can't believe you forgotten. I told you we will be meeting in that favorite bar of yours. I'm already waiting, shots on the way!" Javier says chuckling.

"You're in the Holy Blood bar? Javier, you're a werewolf. You're not supposed to be roaming around here at night or they'll kill you when they find out what you are!" I snap while he rolls his eyes. I couldn't see it physically but I knew he did it.

"Then hurry the hell up and rescue my sad ass here." He replies pretending to be scared. I scoff and hang up as I faster my pace heading for the main street.

The bar is now only a few blocks away when I pass a familiar looking apartment.

I walk even faster trying to not notice the building sitting beside me but it's too late...

"Alistair!" The voice of an angry woman roared from outside the building.

I sigh and force myself to turn and look at the raging lady. I pull out a fake grin taking out my hands off my pockets and crossing my arms instead.

"Bernadette! Good to see you too." I pretend to look pleased while the furious blondie comes storming towards me.

She freezes across me cocking her eyebrow and frowning.

"What's wrong my lovely rose?" I ask in gritted teeth.

"Don't you dare say that to my face." She yells before landing a painful slap on my left cheek.

I rub my hand towards my cheek that is now a hue of bright red from the pain. Bernadette had strong muscles almost like a man.

I whimper and moan while she tilts her head to look up at me, I'm like six inches taller than her. Her furious eyes glued to mines and her thick brows arched.

"Oh come on Bernie-"

"I am not your Bernie, Al. You are forbidden to say that ever again." She interrupts placing her hands on her hips. "I no longer was when I woke up in my bed, you were no longer beside me but sleeping in Miriam's bed instead!" She yells raising her tone.

I sigh flashing my blazing red eyes at her, "Ah, I was drunk dear I didn't kno-"

"Stop it! Stop with the excuses, Darkshade, and those eyes and dimples won't work on me no more. We both know you weren't drunk that night, Miriam is my fucking cousin and she lives next door! You didn't think I would find out?" She snaps scoffing.

"Look, I'm really sorry. I make mistakes, people always do. I'm a terrible, terrible person. But I promise I've never been in touch with Miriam ever since. She is nothing compared to you." I smile clasping her shoulders.

She snorts and smirks while slapping my hands away from her. "Whatever, Romeo, I don't need you anyway. Guess who I've been chained to lately."

"Pops?"
