"Is she here, is my daughter here?" Janix' mom asked a nurse when she got to the nurses station with her husband and other daughter Anica following.

"M'am, what's your daughters name?" The nurse asked.

"Janix Mic..." Her mother said but being cut off.

"Oh my God! Janix, what the hell happened to her?" Anica asked while running to the gurney with Janix's injured body on it.

"She was in a accident, she's going to be fine as long as you step back and let me help her." The doctor said to Anica while carefully pushing her away from her sister.

"My pore little girl." Janix's dad said while watching the doctor and nurses attach a blood transfusion, heart monitors and a IV.

The doctor looked around at her injuries before saying "Someone page neuro, tell them to meet us in the OR, we don't have time to take her in for a X-Ray, let's get moving now!"

"Where are you taking our daughter?" Janix' dad asked the doctor as the nurses pulled her out of the ER and towards to operating rooms.

"Your daughter has some broken ribs and a bleed in her stomach so we need to take her to the OR and repair this to make sure she's going to be okay." The doctor told them.

      "What actually happened?" Anica asked.

"I don't know the specifics but a social worker will come and find you in a bit, for now I need you to relax, sit in the waiting room and just let me do my job to help her." The doctor told them.

"Alright, come on honey." Janix's dad said to her mom.

"Josh?" Anica yelled while running to a gurney coming in with Josh laying barely awake on it.

"Anica?" Josh asked slurring his words.

      "Yes, it's me." Anica replied.

      "Where Janix?" Josh asked.

"She's going into surgery but don't worry she's going to be fine." Anica explained while Josh began falling back asleep.

"M'am, are you immediate family?" A nurse asked.

"Well, no but my sister is his girlfriend." She tried explaining.

"That doesn't make you immediate family does it?" The nurse asked.

"Well no, but..." She tried to reply but was interrupted.

"I'm sorry but I need you out." The nurse told her closing the curtains around Josh and blocking her out. Anica turned around and began walking over to the waiting room where a social worker was with there parents.

"Can you identify the others in the car?" The social worker asked.

"Well the boy driving was her boyfriend Josh and I know they were going out with his friend Ryan and his girlfriend, what was it? Taylor, or Tia, or Tina, oh yes it was Tina." Janix' mom explained.

"Do you know what happened?" Janix' dad asked.

"Not completely, I do know Josh were driving responsibly, they saw the man coming, he was drunk and swerving, Josh pulled over and Janix was calling 911 but it was to late. The drunk driver swerved into the back drivers side causing the truck to flip several times and to land on it's roof." The social worker explained.

"Oh my gosh, what happened to everyone else?" Janix' dad asked.

"You saw Josh in the ER and your daughter and that other girl are both in surgery." The social worker told them.

"What about the drunk driver?" Janix' dad asked the social worker.

"Umm, he died in the ambulance on the way here." The social worker replied.

"What about Ryan?" Anica asked while turning around to finally look at the social worker as tears began to appear in her eyes.

"Parden me?" The social worker asked back.

"What about Ryan? Tell me he's okay, he's Josh's best friend in the entire world other than Janix and we don't know if she's going to make it so Ryan has to!" Anica began yelling as she became more and more emotional.

"Sweetheart, it's going to be fine." Her dad said trying to relax her.

"You don't know that, she's on some operating table right now all because some drunk guy decided to get in his car and bulldoze over Josh's truck like none of the lives in it matter." Her parents and the social worker fell silent. "So now will you tell me what the hell happened to Ryan!" She asked with tears streaming down her face.

"The car drove directly into where he was sitting and he..." The social worker paused.

      "He what?" She asked.

"He died immediately." The social worker told them. Anica burst into tears. The social worker went on to say "I'm so sorry. I never knew him but I'm sure he didn't deserve this."

"Honey, I'm so sorry." Her mom said trying to comfort her.

"Get away from me!" She yelled before running away down a hall. Everyone in the waiting room stopped and stared at her parents sitting in the chairs with tears filling their eyes.
